Great for quick references!
I have the Havamal on my Kindle app, as well as on my laptop, but having this to tuck in my bag and refer to when I'm out is a wonderful and handy tool. The Pocket Havamal is especially helpful when you want to show someone in writing a particular passage and this particular one is written in my preferred translation (Thorpe). Beautiful Read.
This book is pretty good. Remember that this is a translation of a poetic book. I'm not an expert, but it seems as if it is Old English, which reads a lot differently than Modern English on either side of the Atlantic.

Good Alternative to a pocket bible
If you went through Army Basic Training, then you'll know what I mean when I say that pocket bibles are everywhere you look. I appreciated the spirit, but it wasn't what I believed. This is a good answer to those, if you're looking for one.

Great book, perfect size.
I bought this for my boyfriend and he loves it. He often works out of town and this pocket guide has been perfect as a travel companion. It tucks away nicely and does not take up very much room. There are errors in the translation, such as letters left off of words and letter being swapped around, but it is still a nice piece. Would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in studying the Hamaval.

Lots of wisdom in a small package
The size is perfect. It fits nicely in my back pocket so I can take it anywhere. There are some spots where the language can be troubling, but that’s likely due to the age of the translation. For the most part, however, it is convenient and understandable. I highly recommend it, especially as a gift for heathen members of the military.

Wonderful book
Wonderful little pocket size Havamal. I enjoy it because it is easy for me to bring to work. It's nice to have wisdom and inspiration to face the day.
