Is this suitable to put behind radiator against the wall? Would the inner plastic bubbles melt? Can't afford to mess up the wall

I've bought it for radiators not used it yet however did boil kettle and pressed it with my fingers for a long time didn't melt and fingers still there. Hope that helps

will this product with stand direct sunlight?

Not sure as the aluminium will get hot and the bubbles inside may blow best advice is try a small strip in the midday sun. Should get your answer.

how thick is this insulation?

It's not very thick but I've previously used it to insulate above the ceiling area in one of my rooms. definitely makes a lot of difference in terms of heat retention. I'm no professional but definitely worth the money.
