This is a very useful product they gives me option to flip hoses on my tap outside with no hassle .. I sometimes need the longer hose in my backyard so I flip hose from front yard to back and vice versa .. this made it so easy to move around hoses without gassing to open and install them time and again ..no water leakage and single washer kept water from leaking .. the brass material used is heavy duty they would last long .. it’s so easy to flip and install hose now ..

Using this adapter to connect a hose with aluminium fittings, to a hose cart with brass fittings, as a sacrificial fitting. The thought is the adapter will easily unscrew from the hose cart; and the adapter will NOT unscrew from the hose since it will practically be welded to the hose by galvanic corrosion.

Works great, but only if you use the red washers. At first it was leaking like crazy when I was using the black rubber washer. But I compared the thickness of the two washers, and the red washers were thicker. No leaks if you use the red washers! Glad they provided both types of washers. The small hex portion that you put a wrench on is very narrow. Most wrenches would be too wide, but I found a skinny adjustable wrench which luckily opened up far enough to grip the hex part without getting in the way of the face of the fitting you're screwing the NPT end of the connector into. The male threaded end is 1/2" NPT. Note that when they talk about pipe threads, the 1/2" refers to the ID of the pipe, not the OD of the threads. The free spinning hose end has nice serrations making it easy to attach the hose attachment by hand.

I'm redoing all of my irrigation and had made one elbow with a 3/4" plumbing elbow and some adapters just to use up parts, only to find that the female adapters I had were cracked (both brand new but bought months ago). I ordered these to solve the problem and they did so quite nicely, as I had one spot where I really wanted the "heavy duty" galvanized pipe elbow to be used. These are one solid piece and do not swivel. This was important for me, as I found with my previous (junk) adapters that tightening the NPT threads down properly was impossible with normal tools. There was simply no room for a wrench in between the female swivel and the pipe elbow I was screwing it into. I actually had to use a 27mm thin (very thin!) wrench, which strangely enough, I actually happened to have! And after all that, the parts were no good. These adapters on the other hand, can easily be tightened with a big adjustable wrench or even a socket if you have one the right size. If you have done any plumbing you know that the tighter you can get NPT threads, the better, even with teflon paste/tape. Being solid like these are makes them very much up to the task. Of course if you have a situation where you NEED the swivel, this is not what you want. Exactly what I needed and it works great.

I needed to make an outdoor water line capable of using a garden hose. These connectors worked like a charm. The machining is very nice, no burrs or rough edges and no leaks from machining an area too thin ( I've run into this problem in the past). The included washers made the whole project go easy and worry free. I would purchase from this seller again.
