SecurityIng 1050 Lumens Super Bright Scuba Dive Light

Ok let me first say that I've been night diving for 20 years and have had a lot of dive lights, from the old uk's to the king pelicans. If you purchased this light, you made the right decision! The first time I used this, it blew me away with how bright it was for just a c3 battery flash light! We just went spearfishing at night 2 days ago and my dive partners had the uk eled 8 c battery flashlight and my light was just as bright as theirs ! My dive partner willie was speechless! The very next day he ordered one for himself and I ordered me another one too lol! People take it from me, I'm a Hawaiian that night dives for fish about 4 to 5 times a month and these lights are one of the best buys you will ever make in your life. If you read any reviews that were bad, in my opinion they just did not know what they were doing lol. These were also the longest lasting flashlights I've ever purchased. After 3 to 4 hrs of diving, the light was still bright and white! While my friends Uk Eled 8 c flashlight had a yellow tinge to it! I recommend this to any seriouse night divers out there!

For the price, it's hard to beat this light. I took it on my first night dive, and it was very bright and worked like a charm. There are 3 o-ring seals that keep water out, versus several I've seen with only two. It also comes with backup o-rings. If you're looking for a beginner light, this is a good choice. Just be aware that it is quite large, I felt like I was holding a light-saber. One other thing to note is that this light has a focused beam that is not adjustable, so if you're looking for a light to illuminate a broad area, look elsewhere. But overall I highly recommend this one.

Received the light Friday, dove Sunday. Had it down to 70'. I have to say, as long as this thing keeps working, I really like the light. Small, lightweight, easy to hold, very bright. Great for Puget Sound day dives. Brighter than my buddies $600 Sola. I didn't follow the directions. I turned the light on and off many times during the dive. Worked fine. O-rings came lubed and came with a spare set of O-rings. **REPLACE LANYARD BEFORE YOU USE** or you will be buying another light. A gentle tug on the lanyard and it broke. They didn't tie the ends together but rather semi-melted the ends and sort of stuck them together. Plus, the lanyard is the strength of used dental floss anyway.

Do not use lithium batteries!!!!! The manufacturer's instructions specifically say that you can use 2 types of lithium batteries with this, 18650 and 26650. Do not under any circumstances use either lithium because it will fry the LED in about 2 seconds. The light is outstanding and works well and is a great value as a primary dive light but if you use only standard C batteries. It's incredibly bright and well made and performs better than other dive lights costing 10 times as much with the same number of lumens. The photo from the instructions clearly stays 3 different types of batteries can be used but the 26650 batteries fried the LED immediately when it was turned on on 2 separate flashlights. Although it's clearly an instruction problem, the light itself is sound. I did not return the 2 lights, I replaced them

I will first start out by saying this is a 5 star product. For the price, you really can't go wrong. But I wanted this review to be more a comparison than another product rave, as it appears there are enough of those already. I'm going to compare the SecurityIng 1000 Lumen XM-L2 LED(SecIng) to the UK SL4 eLED L1(UK). I was searching for a primary dive light in the $60 range, as I typically dive during the day, and narrowed my search to these two items. Both my girlfriend and I needed lights, so I thought I'd buy both and we'd decide among ourselves which we liked better. Light Output: The SecIng is advertised at 1000 lumens and the UK at 400 lumens. I don't have a light meter, but I can tell you that both having a new set of batteries, the SecIng is brighter than the UK. I've posted a picture of both lights side by side in a dark room. It's interesting, in the picture the SecIng looks quite a bit brighter than the UK, but in real life, the difference is not near as noticeable. If I had to guess, assuming the UK is truly 400 lumen, I'd put the SecIng at 600. Also of note, is that the light from the SecIng is whiter and bluer. Both are very pleasant and have that daylight LED look, but the UK has an ever so slight yellow tint to it, when viewed side by side to the SecIng. Winner - SecIng Build Quality: Both items are built very well. I'd almost call this a draw. The SecIng feels like a tank, like it could be used as a weapon if necessary. The UK is built with high quality plastic and I particularly like the rubber coated lens assembly. In the SecIng's favor, is the fact that it's lens is made from 5mm glass, while the UK's lens is made from plastic. This is particularly good when you consider that both these lights will be getting tossed around in a dive bag and the glass will do a better job avoiding scratches. I also like that the SecIng is waterproofed by 3 heavy duty o-rings(and it comes with spares) whereas the UK only has one and no spares. Winner - Tie Ergonomics: Ergonomics is where the UK has, in my opinion, the clear advantage. The SecIng weights 507g(with batteries) and displaces 175ml of water. This means that when diving, the SecIng weights 332g, just shy of 3/4 of a lb, underwater! The UK is much closer to neutral, weighing in at 443g and displacing 225ml of water. This means that underwater the UK is a featherweight at 218g or just shy of 1/2 lb. I also like the UK's one handed operation. I hold it with the switch on top, and toggle with my thumb, very nice. The SecIng is a bit more awkward, as it requires two hands to operate. That could get annoying if it were being switched on and off frequently. Conclusion: You can't go wrong with either product. If I absolutely had to pick, given the same price I'd probably give the nod to the UK, just for it's superior ergonomics. However, considering the SecIng is currently $15 less, I'd pick it.

VERY DISAPPOINTED. This thing is supposed to be rated to 150m, but it failed at 80'. No leaking that I could find, but it turned off and stayed off. Thankfully not a night dive or it would really have sucked!! It did eventually come back on the next day and I never took it below 70' again. I have to admit that when it did work, it was nice. Very bright, relatively wide beam. It's heavy, but the wrist strap is good. Also, minor complaint, but who uses C batteries??

I needed a safety flashlight for around the house and car. May or may not go night snorkeling with this, but the fact that it's water proof makes it great for night canoe trips which I will use it for. Came very close to buying a 1000 lumen light at Home Depot but you could see and feel the cheap plastic construction and it was around $35. THIS LIGHT IS A QUALITY INSTRUMENT. well constructed with heavy aluminum, three o-rings and it came with three spares. I was like a kid a Christmas when I turned it on and it flooded the backyard in gloriously bright light. Feel and looks like this sucker will last me a lifetime - LOVE IT. Bought a second for my adult son

I bought this to have a decent light for diving. I don't do night dives yet, but needed for looking into crevices and such. Had a different light before that was made of plastic and it broke after my first dive. This one is very sturdy, I love that it takes just regular C cell batteries. And most of all, I was amazed at the amount how bright it was and easy to use under water. We were down around 60 feet and my light was the only one in the group that could light up the inside of some of the crevices well enough for us to all see. I think this light would be fine even as a primary on a night dive.

Fantastic quality, not used on a dive yet, but certainly looks and feels the part.

Positivt: Väldig robust och bra byggd lampa kommer hålla länge utan tvekan! Använt lampan nu flera gånger och den presterar på topp för de billiga priset man betala för den! lyser i runt 6 timmar på full styrka sen går den ner sakta och slocknar helt efter ungefär 8 timmar sen byter man bara till färska batterier och kör på igen! Negativt: Enda nackdelen är när lampan blev levererad till mig så hade paketet blivit kvaddat så lampan hade lite kant skador men jag öppnade upp lampan och den verkade okej och har nu blivit använd många gånger utan några problem! Rekommenderar starkt denna dykarlampa för svenska vatten och grummliga/mörka vatten
