Frabill Quality
I love this net. This is a perfect size for my Lund aluminum boat. Handle is heavy duty and not flimsy and the bag size is perfect for larger trout. The coating on the net works really well. I have not had any problems with the hooks getting caught in it. The net will fold and will fit out of the way in the storage compartments on my boat. This is a quality net and should last a long time. Best of all Amazon had the best price and free shipping.

Worked great with Steelhead
I was looking for something I could strap onto my backpack. This net worked great. I like the portability. I initially thought it might be too small, but I was able to easily net several fish with the biggest being a 32 inch Steelhead on my trip to the Snake River yesterday. Although, if you are consistently catching big fish over 24 inches, you might want to consider the bigger model. The material on the net worked without issues for releasing the fish. The netting did not snag on the fish, so I felt like I was able to release the fish without harm. I'm happy with the quality so far after my first fishing trip.

great net
this net offers a very large capture area, yet it collapses down small enough to wear in the fast Kenai river...I shortened the handle to fit in my large cooler I checkin with the airlines. Ever since owning my first 10x39 folding net, we have only lost a handful of salmon in the river. This net is worth every penny, I own 3 now,(2 spares).

Locking mechanism breaks, but with this quick hack it's great.
I purchased this net for salmon fishing about 3 years ago. I have a collapsible inflatable boat with an electric motor, and everything fits in the trunk of my Outback, so saving space is critical for me. This net folds down to an amazingly small size, yet is large enough to net 10-15 pound Chinooks and 5-8 pound Cohos for days. Ok, the downside: the locking mechanism is a flimsy piece of metal that WILL break within a few months of use. At first I was able to track down a replacement from Frabill only to have it quickly break as well. Currently I am gearing up for the 2024 season, didn't necessarily want to replace the net, but needed to find a way to fix it so it reliably locks during use. The solution I ended up with is simple, and only costs a couple bucks. I grabbed a thumbscrew from the hardware store, drilled a matching hole through the back of the plastic piece of the hoop joint, and cut a small chunk out of the back of the rod with a hacksaw/dremel to function as a stop. So, you just extend the handle, unfold the net, tighten the screw so it catches the stop, and you're good to go.

Great net
Great net, love that it is easy to fold so can be put in compartments on our boat.

Poor quality
The clip that holds the net open broke again. This is the second time that it’s happened to the same model of net after one trip in the boat. The second time was outside the return timeframe. The first one was returned and after two months I have still not received a refund

Locking mechanism lasts about a year
I've had several of these. Easy to stow under the gunnel. But the locking mechanism tends to break after one year of use. Net/frame holds up fine otherwise.
