It took me 5 times through the steps for the new FOB to work, but the steps are really simple. The subject video is great. I have a 2004 4runner SR5, and the video is with a 2006 4runner, so that made the video fit well for me, and I can only speak of my experience on this one application, but I assume it will be appropriate for all models stated in listing. Upon opening the package I was initially a bit dismayed, as it came with absolutely no instructions for programming, so I came back to the listing to see if I had missed something, and found the well made, short programming video. You may want to find and watch it before you order. I made a step by step note card from the video instructions that I will include here to take with me in the car that may help you as it did me. That actually took the longest time of the whole procedure. All steps worked for me on each try, clicks and all, except it would not work. But as the guy in the video said, be patient, and keep trying. It only takes about a minute to go through the steps! For about $13 total with California tax, and it even included the battery installed (who knows how good of one, but working upon delivery), it sure beats the $120 before tax and battery that Toyota wanted, and just a few dollars more than just a FOB casing without a battery and chip here on Amazon. It is great for the kids to have just a FOB so they can get in and out of the car on camping trips without giving them yours with the keys to possibly misplace, and I love having extras (I'm going to get at least one more for this price!)

Love it. Cheap price. Everything works out perfectly. Saved a whole lot of money. Easy to replace the OE worn out front portion of the case. still keeping the back side with OE Cadillac emblem intact. Now, the key fob looks brand new.

The programming process provided by the seller was no help at all. Luckily there are procedures on YouTube and on the internet that took me a successful end

This was an exact replacement for my OEM key fob. The black rubber with the various symbols on my remote were worn off. To keep the Cadillac emblem on the remote I only replaced the front half of my existing remote and it was an exact fit Very pleased with this product, in fact ordered another one for my other remote

I've programmed key fobs for this car in the past because I've lost a few. The original replacements I used to purchase were $15, but are no longer available. I tried this one twice, but it didn't work. First, I also tried changing the battery, assuming it had been sitting for a while, but it still didn't work. Second, the same problems as the first. If you have a 2008 Cadillac CTS, try another brand, and yes, no Cadillac symbol on the back, but that doesn't bother me.
