Review: Good book - This book is very informative and easy to read. Review: Nice refresher book but with language quality issues (mistranslations) and rushed explanations. - It's a good book as a refresh (particularly for me having done physics and maths A levels a very long time ago). I don't think anyone without a similar background would be able to follow much. However, some of the explanations are rushed and there are jumps in derivations too. For example, the explanations on transistors were unclear. Apart from that, I came to realise during reading that it must be a translation from German since I (coincidentally as a translator) was familiar with and noticed many mistranslations (e.g. "Welle" as "wave" instead of "shaft", "capacity" instead of "capacitance", and more). I even spotted the German "bzw", which is an abbreviation for "beziehungsweise". I'd give 3.5 stars, but don't seem to be able to.

A lot crammed into just 150 pages !!
This book packs so much in just 150 pages, itโs a great insight into whatโs to come for my studies. Technical illustrations really helped to explain complex theories.

Introduction to Electrical Engineering
I hold an honours degree in electrical and electronic engineering. I have taught the subject at FE and HE level. This is a useful text and a great leveller for students from different backgrounds.

Littered with spelling errors!
Bought this to supplement the electronics section of my amateur radio course. Technically sound but poor editing. Appears to me that it has been translated from German and not proof read. Disapointing.

Easy to Read
Reading this book reminds of being in a uni lecture. Only this time it's not boring and I can understand what's being said!

Terrific review that restores the basics
If you've forgotten Calculus or never taken it, this distills the critical math you need to know to move forward with electronics/electricity. Same with the fundamentals of electronics. While some areas could use more explanations (historical anecdotes are always helpful), the fact that all of the critical and fundamental concepts are brought to one place so that you know what to study deeper is what makes this book an excellent read. It's almost a cliff notes book on refreshing the basics, but goes deeper to help concepts click. You won't be designing circuits from this book - think of it more like an EE fundamentals course book - a college EE freshman book. It's quite well written.

Perfect introduction to electrical engineering
Not obsessively detailed and mathematical but keeps to the point and provides examples with explanations. Thank you for this wonderful book.
