Great replacement power supply
Ordered to replace a missing power supply for a lightbox, and it works great with no issues.

Comparable with purpose
Compatibility depends on plug diameter, voltage output needed for the intended purpose. Fit my needs.

Easily hacked
Ordered this power supply for an inhouse project, was going to use it as intended, however upon closer inspection, it was discovered it could be easily opened. The circuits were very well built and allowed for easy access to the primary solder joints which allowed us to connect to the projects main power inputs thus eliminating a second outlet. SO for someone whos looking to embed an Arduino or Pi into a larger project, this wall wort can be easily incorporated into a larger power management lay out

Short Cord
This is a decent little supply for the price. But be aware, the cable is painfully short. It appears to be about 3-feet in length, and this is too short to reach from my desk to the power strip on the floor.

9v1A Arduino Compatible Power Supply Adapter!
What we liked about the 9v1A Arduino Compatible Power Supply Adapter! Had, ordered it on line, was hoping it would be delivered before Christmas! 2020 was not a very good year so! so when we pulled out all the Christmas Decorations, from the garage, I, was very disappointed! ( Singing and dancing Santa Clause), the original power supply was missing! The Singing Santa clause, was not able to sing or dance! with out the power adapter, which Santa sings over 9 Christmas Carols!, was purchased over 20 years ago! It, would not seem the Same with out this long time Family Tradition IThe 9v1A Arduino Compatible Power Supply Adapter, was delivered a day before Christmas Eve! Santas voice sounds a little deeper, but it works good! So, it definitely cheered up our Christmas Season! Holiday! Thank You!

Cheaply made, failing after 1 yr 10 months
Was purchased to replace the power supply for my ZBar desk lamp, which it matched. This power supply is very light weight and feels cheaply made. After 1 yr 10 months it has started to fail. I now need to replace it, and will be buying a better quality power supply.

has ~50 VAC ground leakage
The 9V DC output is well regulated with minimal ripple, however if you measure output (+ve or -ve) to earth ground you will see about 50 VAC (RMS) of parasitic earth leakage. The current is very low (~ 1 uA) so this is not a safety issue, but if you are using it for electronic projects (eg, Arduino) you can destroy more sensitive components if the circuit is not first grounded (eg, connect tip of oscilloscope before connecting ground lead). Be aware than the similar wall wart sold by Eleggo has the same issue. Even just touching the circuit might damage components. The peak potential to ground is around +/-70 V. If you are careful and aware of the issue, an isolated "floating" circuit will be fine. I have tested a couple of 5V DC switching USB supplied (for phone, tablet), and they all had < 5V AC leakage to ground.
