Excellent reading material for all who have learnt ancient Greek. The book fulfils all its promises

Wenn man Altgriechisch gelernt hat und man sucht nach nicht zu komplizierter Lektüre, die sich flüssig lesen lässt: Voilà, hier ist sie. Ein Abenteuer-Liebes-Roman, der wahnwitzige Wendungen nimmt, aber immer amüsant bleibt. Der erste Dreigroschen-Roman der Weltgeschichte: Seenot, Piraten, Flucht, Folter, Lebendig-Begraben-Werden und was sonst noch der antike Alltag bereithielt :-) Umfangreicher Kommentar und ausführliche Vokabelangaben. Ich kann alle die kommentierten Texte von C.T.Hadavas empfehlen. Ach ja, Englisch muss man halt für den Kommentar können.

This delightful narrative, one of the first Greek novels, tells of the adventures of two star-crossed lovers and is a joy to read. Highly recommended.

Needed to copy and paste more carefully. Some chapters start with the wrong line. Would be good to fix, for subsequent editions. Otherwise it is a useful document.
