Super soft! Lovely grey color. My mom is making me a blanket using her hands! The size sheโs making me requires 8 of these bad boys. Not bad at all when Iโd be charged over $500 for a made one. Review: Pricey, but beautiful. - I purchased this wool because my mom really wanted a massive knit blanket. The "Pinterest"-esk project advertised that it was a cheap project, but that must have been before they checked the price on the wool! In order to make a small throw-style blanket (about 4 ft x 6 ft), I had to purchase five skeins of this wool, using 1.5 inch around "knitting needles". All of that being said, the final product really is beautiful and soft. I had some serious issues while knitting, of this wool becoming super twisted on itself to the point that I had to unroll the entire ball of yarn and untwist the entire thing before I could continue. Perhaps I was doing something wrong, but I have never had such issues when knitting before. The reason I gave it a four star rating is that the quality of the wool is so high, it seems like something that should be bought at an off-road, artist yarn shop rather than something at Meijer or Micheal's. However, one star was removed because of price and the struggles I had with it twisting into knots. Overall, a nice product. Will likely purchase again in the future for other, smaller projects.

Beautiful yarn
Nice yarn. It stinks when you first pull it out of its plastic bag though. Shipping was super fast. I would have given it 5 stars but I was send the 10 mm size not the 20 mm size. I did double check too and I ordered the 20 mm size. I would not have ordered the smaller size since this size is available at hobby lobby for a fraction of the cost. I will keep it though as the color is exactly what I wanted Update: I had bought 3 balls on yarn and it took nearly all of the yarn to make a cat bed. I followed the YouTube video from Becozie and it worked just fine. Because the yarn was smaller than what I ordered, I had to add several more rows. I also followed another reviewers advice and unraveled the yarn first to puff it up more.

Newbie's review
I've never used chunky yarn and I've never arm-knitted before. I'm also a terrible knitter in general and have never made anything more than scarves, really. I thought my experience might help others who are new to chunky blanket/arm knitting. First, I couldn't work with this yarn without felting it. When I tried, I just ended up pulling it apart and having it shed all over me. Once I felted it, things were much easier. Felting was easy and there are lots of youtube videos about how to do it. I will say, I bought a huge skein of this (instead of several smaller skeins), which made everything more unwieldy. Knowing what I know now, I would start with smaller skeins and make sure to felt right away. Other than that, it is beautiful wool yarn, soft, and I quickly made a lovely (and very heavy) lap blanket/throw.

Nice yarn to work with
I bought this to knit my first arm knit blanket. I bought 5 balls. It made a small blanket- around 4' x 4'. It was really fun to do, and the yarn is really soft and nice to work with. It made a lovely little blanket, I just wish it weren't quite so expensive.

Awesome stuff!
I used this for beards on some peg doll gnomes. It was perfect. I ran out, and in a pinch had to find some locally. The local stuff I found was also good, but TWICE as much money. I will only get this product when I need wool from now on. I would only say that the product description should say how much of it there is? By length or weight... whatever works. It was hard to tell how much there was in the ball I got.
