To get a good artist's fan brush you have to pay stupid amounts of money. I took a chance and bought these in the hopes that they would be good for glazing pots for ceramics. Money well spent! They hold a lot of glaze, are soft so they leave minimal lines, and have good coverage - the glaze comes off the brush easily. I don't notice a ton of hairs coming off while I'm painting unlike some other artist's fan brushes I have. The handle is longer too which is much better for getting into taller pints of glazes, most makeup brushes are pretty short so this feature is really nice. Would definitely buy again but this set is going to last me a long time!
