Flavours: Did you like foam banana sweets when you were younger? Then the "banana" flavoured Slimfast is for you. Like chocolate? Don't buy the "chocolate"-flavoured one. It tastes like a cheap child's cereal that has been left half opened in the back of the cupboard crossed with the chemical-treated cardboard box it came in. Like strawberry/raspberry-flavoured ice cream? Then the "strawberry" flavour is for you. There is a slight powdery taste but it doesn't make it unpleasant. Like powdered or tinned custard? Then the "vanilla" flavour is for you. It isn't very strong or very sweet, so if you just want a shake that has some flavour, pick vanilla. Do you like caramel-flavoured ice cream or sweets? The "caramel"-flavoured shake tastes like melted caramel ice cream. It's not overly sweet or overpowering, but very moreish. This is my favourite. I have a sweet tooth and struggle on any diet that leaves me feeling hungry. These shakes, however, fill me up and also help satisfy my craving for something sweet. They are easy to make and much cheaper in powder form than the ready-made ones. Buy a box of long life/UHT skimmed milk because you'll need a lot of it: if you drink two shakes a day, it's 0.5 litres or almost a pint of milk. I use an electric hand blender to mix it up without lumps and the aeration makes it thicker. I tried shaking but it was still lumpy and you lose part of it that sticks to the side/lid of the shaker. Step 1: measure out 250ml of milk Step 2: measure out two scoops of powder Step 3: add the powder to your milk Step 4: mix with a spoon or blunt knife Step 5: blend with an electric hand blender Step 6: drink! Would I recommend it? Yes. I'm losing weight and not suffering in the process.

I'm still fat because I have the will power of a moth to a lamp. When I was younger and had will power this worked great. Lots of meal replacement shakes for a good price and nice flavours to choose from. If your contemplating this for weight loss it will work if you can stick to it. Best of luck.

Normally I would go for protein powder. But I'm trying to cut weight right now while still getting a bit of protein and wanted to try something different. I got the Banana and the caramelized biscuit, and doing a mix of 1 scoop of each. Tastes great when mixed together. Almost like a fresh slice of banana bread. Highly recommend you mix the 2 flavours together.

As a drink this really tastes very good, it doesn't taste of sweetener and could easily be mistaken for a Nesquik banana milkshake. Unfortunately that's really where the pros end. I've been looking for a meal replacement drink that I can substitute for breakfast, unfortunately this isn't it. Compared to a lot of other meal replacement drinks this is blended with 250ml of milk, that instantly makes it a very small drink. It doesn't suppress hunger in the slightest that I can tell and it contains a worrying amount of sugar, 21g in a single drink. Seems ludicrous given it's geared towards dieting.
