21st Century Boys: The Perfect Edition, Vol. 1

The relieve I felt after finishing this volume, was unlike any other. I was preparing my self to treat 21th century boys like the last season of game of thrones. Where up till the end it laid the biggest dump imaginable. Here it’s not the case. I’ve read in many places that this acted as an epilogue, and that couldn’t be farther from the truth. This is essentially vol12 for the perfect editions. There is so much that happens in this volume, I can’t fathom how someone sees it as one (an epilogue). It so much more. This is the definitive ending of the story, I heard there some changes to the original manga run. But what I got here was pretty satisfying overall. 20th century boys is an all time classic. If I had to rate it, it’s a strong 9/10. Unlike anything I’ve seen. What a ride.

I read the whole series. Admittedly, I've gotten a bit jaded with story (all forms of media) in my mid-life. 21st Century Boys was refreshingly big hearted, perhaps a little cheesy at times, but innovative. It teases the use of super hero tropes, but pulls back from them to focus on good story telling and character development. I think it was longer than it needed to be and this may have made the story a little slow at times. I didn't devour it like other good works. Still worth the read though.

Greatest manga of all time definitely top 5 just buy it and enjoy

naoki urasawa is legend btw bought this volume from cocoblu retail they did amazing job ofcourse it took time like 10 days or more but it it good completely authentic manga received .

Best manga series ever.

The Manga itself is, as always, just great. The story can be a little weak at times, but the characters are all so damn loveable. ('Friends' excepted, of course.) I have just a little issue with this 12th and final volume, and this will sound a little anal, but here goes: of all 12 volumes, this is the only one that isn't numbered on the spine. So my collection reads volumes 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11, and........volume nothing! It's no big deal of course, and there are no issues within the pages.
