What size post do i need to use to mount this?

Can this stand on the ground safely or does it have to be mounted? Would this work in a garden? Thanks

This unit should be mounted either on a wall or on a mounting post and is not suitable for being left free-standing. We currently offer the wall mounting version (with all necessary fixing components) or the post mounting version (which allows the bin to be post-mountable). Should you mount onto a post, you will also need some form of permanent siting banding such as Tamtorque/Tespa. The dog bin can be left for use in any outdoor environment.
