The most awaited autobiography by Priyanka Chopra! "I have always felt that life is a solitary journey, that we are each on a train, riding through our hours, our days, our years. We get on alone, we leave alone, and the decisions we made as we travel on the train are our responsibility alone." In this thoughtful and revealing memoir, readers will accompany one of the world's most recognizable women on her journey of self-discovery. A remarkable life story rooted in two different worlds, Unfinished offers insights into Priyanka Chopra Jonas's childhood in India; her formative teenage years in the United States; and her return to India, where against all odds as a newcomer to the pageant world, she won the national and international beauty competitions that launched her global acting career. Whether reflecting on her nomadic early years or the challenges she's faced as she's doggedly pursued her calling, Priyanka shares her challenges and triumphs with warmth and honesty. The result is a book that is philosophical, sassy, inspiring, bold, and rebellious. Just like the author herself. From her dual-continent twenty-year-long career as an actor and producer to her work as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, from losing her beloved father to cancer to marrying Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra Jonas's story will inspire readers around the world to gather their courage, embrace their ambitions, and commit to the hard work of following their dreams. When I saw how people were looking at me on my first day back at school in Bareilly-as if I were a fantastical, brightly colored unicorn-I realized that I wanted to see myself that way, too. I wanted to feel interesting and unusual and amazing, to feel that I was deserving of people's gaze. I wanted to leave behind my fear of being different, the quality that seemed to cause trouble for me in America. From now on, if I was going to be an anomaly, I was going to be the shiniest damn anomaly around. I had no idea if I could pull off that sort of attitude or not, but I was sure as hell going to try. Review: desertcart - Amazing book Review: worth the purchase - a good one! haven't finished reading yet, but it's fun reading the book as you get a glimpse of her life. she's always been an inspiration but i wish she described her struggles a little bit more as that would've been helpful and motivated a lot of us. me being a girl from india who has been watching her from years, i can tell you she hasn't mentioned a lot of moments that were very hard for her including some super controversial topics that should've been cleared up. good to know she hasn't made the whole book a sad story book, but i would've loved to read about a lot of things she didn't talk about. the size of the book is amazing. getting such a beautiful official book coming from a celebrity for 511 isn't bad at all. it's great her team have kept the price low out here since the main motive is for people to know her story and not to profit off too much. it's rare to see celebrities keeping the rates of their bios and merch this low. that too with free shipping. also, they keep decreasing the price every few days as they keep making sales, so if you still don't have enough money, then keep saving, you'll be able to buy it in a few days for sure. this is a must read especially for all the desis who're demotivated in today's world. โค๏ธ

Too safe
The book showcased how hardworking she is and I felt it could've added more vulnerability and more transparency. I read this after reading Neena Gupta's book Sach Kahoon Toh and felt I was let down by this book. She definitely is very intelligence, smart and worldly, I wish I could know more about her in a raw form .

A great read
Loved the book, it had a personal writing style, you would often feel while reading as if PC herself is speaking to you and narrating her larger than life story of growing from an army kid , through her rough teens into a pageant queen and then ultimately a global icon. I would say it is an easy read, not too emotional or persuasive. Its less of story and more of narrative of a chronology of her life events which have led her to the pedestal that she is on currently.

Truly splendid memoir-a joy for the fans
This is the first book ever that I have binged read! Finished unfinished in under 5 hours and truly inspired (not surprised) by the iconic life of my lady superhero and idol- PCJ. Written from heart, it is very easy and 'readable' and that is the biggest strength of this memoir. It truly lives up to the splendid life of PCJ where in each chapter she also candidly and honestly shares key lessons from each step in her journey to become the most respected and most represented female artist of South Asian descent. The honesty comes across in every page and feels very real as opposed to pretentious. I have truly enjoyed flipping each page filled with pride, joy, respect and inspiration. Should you read it, big yes! Even consider gifting this to your daughters, sisters and other young girls in your network. Anything is possible , never stop dreaming

It was ok, enjoyed it
It started of amazing, the childhood part, the teenage part and the pageant stories were bang on , the part of describing her father's struggle were painful to read. The part of describing wedding in length and how she met her husband felt like fillers because all most all of the stories written were published in magazines and in interviews. She could've done better in writing about her Bollywood part I felt she played too safe I remember those cruel articles and magazines written in 2010's about her which seemed a whole lobby of Bollywood was behind and love affairs with married men and friction with their wives and many co stars (she could've written it without naming names) I respect her but wish she would be little more honest, people who were expecting closure on those stories surely be disappointed, the surgeon cut her tip while removing polyps didn't felt honest to me either I've been through it and it doesn't involve dissecting cartilage wat seemed to in her case is called pollybeak deformity caused by lack of support to the nose tip during rhinoplasty procedure for cosmetic or medical purpose. But that's her story and her autonomy to share how much she felt like she was comfortable with

The best book I have read about an Actor
Every girl should read this book. 5 lessons you can learn from Priyanka Chopra: 1. Always keep your family close 2. Believe in your self. Confidence is the key to any success. 3. Keep Pushing your limits. 4. Try new aspects in one's professional life. Never restrict yourself. 5. You don't need to change yourself in love. I specially could relate to grief chapter in her book. Thanks Priyanka, I will now focus on accepting the grief of my best friend (Mom) as a part of myself and move ahead in life. After this book, I look at Priyanka Chopra as a different person. A must read as she is different yet so real.

Heartfelt Sharing
I enjoyed reading as it was written in an unhurried and conversational manner. However, in some parts of the book it kind of dragged unnecessarily. Honest and warm sharing. Hope to read more of your life as it unravels more some years down the road. Keep doing good work and inspiring people around you.

Just the Memoir We Need Right Now
Priyanka Chopra Jonas's "Unfinished" is an Instant Classic! You could read this book because it is about a woman who made things go incredibly well in her life or because it is about a beautiful lady who achieved so much from hard work and persistence or because it is about a beautiful soul who believes that with grit and determination anyone can achieve their dream and help others no matter how "different" they might (at first) appear. Her opening dedication to her father will leave you teary. And he's present all throughout this memoir and seems an extraordinary incredible Dad and her Mom is majorly fearless also. The importance of Family and Women outlined in this book is incredible and mind blowing. To me, this seems one of the best inspirational books ever written. She includes some amazing very practical quotes including one really awesome one from martial arts master, Bruce Lee. South Asian cultural excellence is celebrated. But important aspects of American culture are presented throughout the book as well. And she includes awesome precise English definitions of Hindi words (so much better than most subtitles in Hindi cinema films). And she patiently explains all the stuff about India you may feel you're supposed to know but might not or just some India things you may have wondered about. The best lesson I gained out of reading "Unfinished" is the following: You can do almost anything you want if you aren't afraid of the consequences and you can fix almost anything if you can look at it from the right viewpoint or perspective. Seriously, I've never read so much wise practical advice liberally dispensed within such very wise simple stories related about what happened at different points in her life. There are a lot of great contrasts she explains between American and Indian culture, particularly in the area of family. And these are quite entertaining yet at the same time, respectful and affirmative. A number of times I was struck by what she was saying or what happened and put the book down and started thinking about the importance of it all, particularly right now. If we live in polarizing times, this book is so unpolarizing, so calming like a natural pain reliever for the enormous headache everyday life has become as seen online, in the newspaper, on TV or in sensational negative character films. She doesn't ignore the bad stuff and confronts it unflinchingly (which is a lesson in itself contained in several actions she took and is taking). She is the ultra successful person we may never meet but through her memoir, she tells us so much that we might hope she might say or advise if we found ourselves in challenging situations similar or different from the ones she has confronted. There is so much that is very good and inspirational in this book about India, America, about people, about life and about living. It is pure joy to read.
