great monitor for small room
perfect for home studios and small spaces. pretty nice clarity and decent bass, maybe not dead perfect.a lot of people complain about lack of bass from the monitors but personally i think it is pretty good, at least more than decent to hear to make music. pretty cool

Great product. But need an amplifier to get the full output. I feel the bass is bit high for normal audio like youtube videos and ott audio and all. But worth the money.

Satisfied with sound for my home studio
If you're searching for low budget but worthy studio monitor, then CR3X is well and good at this segment for good quality monitoring in your home studio. It is very easy to use for it's connectivity and it's sound quality and clarity is quite natural and it's appearance looks so cool in small studio. Lastly this size will be good for a small size studio.

If you are a beginner producer jus go for it but Comparing this to Hayden it’s not sounding good. Mackie has more bass than Hayden but it’s jus booming bass not good quality. Hayden got rich high end and low end but hayden got no build quality so can’t really trust it for the long term use. I tried both and returned it.

If I could give 6 stars, I would . I’m designing my work/potting shed and I HAD to have music with some quality volume . I also wanted “book shelf” size for obvious reasons.I have been an audiophile for over 50 years and I know what a good speaker sounds like. For what these cost, I would buy more for other rooms in my home.I bought a $15 blue tooth adapter on here that sends all my music to the speakers.One speaker is powered, with various size in/out puts. That speaker connects to the non-powered speaker via standard R/B speaker wire.The volume can be controlled either by the knob on front of your device , or both .All needed cables and wires are included .I love that I can crank it up and work outside the shed and fully enjoy my music.HIGHLY RECOMMEND⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall - its fine!
Designed to be flexible, works as expected, sound could be a little more refined but no real complaints, would recommend this. I wish Mackie would have provided a pair of ¼ inch cables tho' as standard. I had to spend money on this, and if you have an audio interface, that's almost a given, so do factor in the cost of that if you do decide to purchase this.

Mackie CR3-X3 inch Multimedia Monitors, blew up after 2 month normal use
speakers sounded good, after i bought them i did not start using them till January 2026, on17 March 2026, they started to crackle, shortly after, they took out my power circuit breaker at my house and ceased to work, I did all the recommended checks, they still didn't work , I am now going to claim warranty on them
