PMS16 Pad Metric Standard Tape

I prefer the metric system but I'm in the US so I'm using the imperial system by default. I frequently need to measure items to CAD for 3D printing. That's not a problem for smaller objects where I use digital calipers but for larger objects, converting units was a hassle. Now I can directly measure feet and inches on one scale or millimeters on the other scale, and the tape uses high contrast black numbers and markings on a white background that I can read even with my old eyes. The erasable notepad on the side is a nifty feature I probably won't use even though my brain is getting old and I'll sometimes take a measurement, get a text message while walking to the chop saw, then need to measure twice to cut once. I didn't even realize this tape measure has a built-in pencil sharpener until I read the other comments. The build quality and durability seems on par with Lufkin and other quality brands, and the price was very reasonable so I'd rate that a good value. I wish I knew why there are little black diamonds ever 32 mm.

This tape works perfectly. It has both Metric and Standard markings, and is easy to read. It is very sturdy and very well made. I would recommend this to anyone, even a pro builder. I have dropped it once and knocked it off my workbench and it didn't even leave a mark on it. I really thought it would feel cheap, but I was surprised that it was so well made. Value for the money, check. Oh, and the pencil sharpener was a surprise. Who'd have thought.

Not sure why this is titled LaserJamb. LaserJamb is a FastCap brand and this tape is branded FastCap as you'd expect. That said, it's an amazingly great tape measure. It's light, it's sturdy, it's metric and inches and it's easy to read.

It's rugged enough for a job site or home use. For all Americans starting to move to metric because it makes more sense you'll love this. Has both imperial and metric. It's accurate and has a lot of great features. Besides the usual tape lock on the top, it also has a trigger grip stop latch on the bottom that is super convenient. Everything about this tape measure makes sense. It is not a heavy duty thick tape for measuring very long objects, it's medium, best for 2000mm (about 6ft) before the tape wants to droop, perfect for home workshops, not good for industrial/construction, you'll want a heavier duty tape for longer than 10ft if you're doing big construction. I've purchased this for family members and they love it too. Can highly recommend and will be purchasing more. This is now my go to tape measure for my workshop.

My favorite tape measures. Just wish they were made for right handed people! If you are like me, I use a tape measure with my left hand and write with my right hand, then the tape measure will be forever upside down... I've contacted the manufacturer and asked continually to have them made correctly, and they refuse! I still love this tape and buy it for all the guys on my crew and everyone I work with. You all have to have the same tape measure when working on a job. And if you go back and forth between SAE and Metric as much as I do, this is the best one to have. The pencil sharpener comes in handy too. Just write to the maker and tell him he has to flip it for righties though. The more people that want to read the measurements right side up the closer we are to getting a proper tape measure.

I wanted a quality, but inexpensive tape measure that had metric measurements. I was actually surprised at how robust this one felt when I recieved it. Functions smoothly, easy to read and has both metric and standard measurements. I love it!👌🏻

So far it's the best tape measure I've got to use. I have the green metric model, this one is metric/imperial and likely will order the full metric next. These are solid, sturdy and just do their job perfectly at a great price.
