I love this hammer so far. I’ve used it for a couple months now as a carpentry finish hammer. It sets nails beautifully and cuts down on the chances for deflection when using a nail set, which can cause you to hit your hands or the work piece. It’s also nice for beating sheet rock for trim because of its sharper mallet head. The soft plastic side is handy for more delicate tasks like tapping a piece of kickspace moulding under a cabinet, or tapping a little nail crater flat from a nail gun. I really like this tool so far and I look forward to using it

PB Swiss manufacturers very high-quality tools! They aren't necessarily cheap but considering they are imported from Switzerland that's expected. The quality of the tools themselves are fantastic! Buy this if you want to beat on stuff in style!

Its a hammer with a slidy thing inside of it. It feels kinda weird. I guess the many years of using deadblows with steel dust or steel balls in them set my mind to how a dead blow should feel. Ive had a difficult time getting used to how this hammer feels with the sliding mechanism inside of it. I find myself reaching for my old traditional dead blows more often than I reach for this one. I bought this hammer because of the name. Im a bit of a pb swiss collector. Im not sure about this though. I have no doubt this is a good hammer. Ive never seen a single product from pb swiss that wasnt top notch. With this hammer, I feel like they tried to reinvent the wheel and it just doesnt feel right to me. But as always with pb swiss, the fit and finish are perfect.

This is a brilliantly designed hammer/mallet. I always have this within reach when I’m building or demoing and doing woodwork and cabinet work. You can easily control it for delicate work or grab a block of wood and you can give more persuasion.

No one needs a dead blow hammer this good. Superb quality. So good you almost hate to use it. Very effective dead blow action by using a series of metal disks inside. Love it but it is also a work of art. Is that possible for a hammer?

Great weight and size for size 2. Handle is a little long, might be ok to shave off 40mm or so. Works well, nylon side is fully solid, expected a little soft texture to it.
