This is my third winch. The last two were bought in 2014 and are still working on 55 gal feeders. A little wd40 and lith grease spray and the winch keeps on ticking.

First off the winch does not look the picture advertised on amazon. The picture shows a gear on both sides of the drum, the one sent only had a gear on one side. It is advertised with 26 feet of cable, on the box it states over 30 feet of cable. After an hour drive to the property to hang this feeder I discover the cable is less than 15 feet in length, totally useless. I needed to get this done today so rather then sending it back and waiting for another, I drove an hour away to harbor freight to buy 50 feet of cable. A total waste of time and money

Make sure you check the wire length before the item return date has passed. The length of wire I received was only 15 feet. The winch is post to have come with 30 feet. 15 feet of wire makes this useless for intended purpose.

1rst one came with 18’ cable. Returned it and got it replaced. 2nd one was a 15’ cable

Worked as advertised, holds a lot of weight and was easy to mount. Good value.
