Foremost, this is a good product, but I do have some concerns with it. Wheeler Engineering designed in my opinion the best thought out scope leveling kit available. I have a few other wheeler products, including their FAT wrench and a scope lapping kit that included their Level-Level-Level set. I personally think that the extra money I spent on this kit far outweighs the lower price and convenience of the LLL. As far as the product goes, I received it without damage and well packaged. The product is packed well in a hard black case with fitted grey foam supporting the levels. The levels themselves are well machined, with a lustrous gold finish and clear well centered level tubes. The barrel level is well designed, and secures easily to the barrel. A fine leveling knob is located on the top level to ensure perfect indexing. This kit is easy to use, accurate and durable. My concerns arose when I noticed that I wasn't able to get a scope leveled properly with it, and I realized that the smaller, magnetic level has a slight machining defect on the bottom face, slightly skewing the reading. My solution to this was a slight touch up with fine grit sandpaper, and using a permanent marker to designate the which face of the top level will be pointing in which direction. I also have been using a small adhesive color coding label folded in half to keep the top level secured to my scope if it is not a ferrous metal. With those small discrepancies, this product is excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. I would certainly buy it again and I will continue to consider buying Wheeler products in the future.

This is a great tool that will last a lifetime if not abused! A little pricey in my opinion and why I gave it only 4 stars, although I wish I'd found this years ago. Beats the snot out of doing this old school with a basic level or two that don't always work the way you want or stay in place. Keeping the rifle (or pistol) level throughout the process is the hardest part and where this little kit solves the problem! A simple tool that even a youngster can figure out. Never again question whether your scope is perfectly level with your firearm and vice-a-versa. Level the firearm first, then level your scope. Afterwards sight it in on target and know your rifle and scope are perfectly aligned for elevation and windage on those long shots when necessary, provided you did your calculations correctly. Comes in a nice plastic storage box lined with pre-cut foam to fit the levels snugly and keep them safe in your range bag, vehicle, or whatever. I'll never be without it and if it's stolen or lost I'll buy another one! Get yours!

I've tried using conventional bubble levels to set up my scopes but often had trouble finding flat spots on both the sight and firearm I could use at the same time. I also bought a magnetic leveling kit that turned out to be a total waste and did not work at all. This Wheeler kit makes it easy to level sights on both rifles and handguns as long as you can keep the firearm steady in a cradle or vice while you work on it. With the sight removed you have a flat surface to use for getting the barrel attachment level with the sight rail or ring bases. Once that's done the sight is mounted and its level can be referenced to the barrel attachment so both are in the same plane. It's very easy to do. The hardest part for me was maintaining the sight level alignment while tightening the ring screws. My scopes tended to rotate so I had to be careful about tightening the screws evenly and checking the level often until everything was secure. I think it's a great product that's well worth the price. Combine this kit with a Fat Wrench and a selection of bits and you're set to properly mount all sorts of optical sights with their windage and elevation axes properly aligned with the gun.

I bought this Wheeler leveling system after returning one of a different brand. What I really liked about this one is how well it's constructed. The glass vials don't slide around (like my former one did) so I know I'm getting a true read on level when using it to level a rifle scope. This leveling system is not overly complicated and is actually easy and pleasant to use. Once I get my scope leveled with this system, I'm confident my scope is level and my shots will be accurate at longer yardage because my scope is level. Very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this Wheeler scope leveling system.
