Seems well made
This part seems totally new and looks to be precisely made. It fit properly and went right to work when engine started. So far no problems. Hopefully it will last longer than the last one purchased from a competitor here on amazon. This last one was OEM and made in Japan, so I have high hopes it will be long lasting. It is a knuckle skinning task installing these, although I have about mastered it now that I have done it three times. Suggestion: remove the 10 mm bolt holding the heater hose near the evap control valve and slightly raise the hose to access the bottom bolt holding the evap valve, you're welcome.

Finally passed my Sticker inspection, no more check engine light.
Finally passed my Sticker inspection, no more check engine light. This is just like the original Honda Part. Price was lower them buying it at my local Honda Dealer.

OEM Purge Valve 2012 Accord
Fit beautifully in my 2012 accord EX - exact replacement OEM part. Fixed the “check gas cap” warning on the dash which would intermittently come and go. Highly recommended. Would purchase from this seller again. Caution: The bottom bolt is a pain to remove and the clips aren’t the easiest to work with. Judge whether you want to do this repair based on your experience, tool set, and patience. I recommend finding a short swivel socket 8mm for removal of the bottom bolt. I was able to remove with an 8mm wrench at an angle, but it was difficult. Pro tip for the DIY owner should you attempt this repair with limited tools - Once I used needle nose to grab one end of the clip and pushed slightly on the other with a flat head, it was much easier to control and move the clips for the hose out of the way.

2010 Honda CR-V - removed “check fuel cap” message.
I had a check fuel cap for over a year. It will set off the check engine light sometimes but eventually turn off and check fuel cap will pop back up. Recently the check engine light came on and been on for 3 weeks. In the past year I changed the fuel cap change spark plugs but still the same message. Saw a video on YouTube to buy this part and it will take the message away and it sure did. It took a day for the check engine light to go away but after starting the car for about 5 times it was gone. I had to break the old piece off because I couldn’t get the bottom screw out so I held the new piece with the one top screw.

The Bottom Bolt is the Trick
Watch a video to get the exact location (basically you need to pull the top cover on the engine air filter all the way out and you’ll see the part bolted to the side of the engine). Slide the hoses off while the old part is bolted. Top bolt is easily accessible. For the bottom bolt, I saw a recommendation to move the heater hose that is in the way. I was able to use a long handle 8mm combination wrench, but I have long arms and hands that fit in tight spaces. Once that’s off, the part is loose and you can turn it to see the clip you need to press to remove the power connection. 20 minutes if you have the right tools to get to the bottom bolt, untold frustration if you don’t.

If you get the “Check Gas Cap” warning this is the part you need!
We lived with the Gas Cap warning for a year and finally it changed to Check Engine. Using a code reader it said this part was bad. All this time and 3 gas cap replacements and it’s fixed! This is a difficult part to change because you can’t get a wrench on the bottom bolt due to the heater hose being in the way. Once it was in and fixed and the check engine code cleared we began to get much better gas mileage. The gas cap had nothing to do with the warning ‼️ I hope this review helps someone out.

Genuine Honda part - fixed my code P145C / P0497 issue
I installed this on my 2007 CR-V and it fixed my code issue. I was getting codes P145C and P0497. I was able to install it in about 30 minutes after watching some videos online. This is a genuine Honda part, not third party aftermarket. My local dealer wanted twice this price for the same item and wouldn't have it for over a week. I ordered this and had in less time at half the cost. Very happy with the purchase - it allowed me to fix the code problem that was preventing the vehicle from passing emissions inspections where I live. I read on multiple places that if you have codes P145C & P0497, this is the part that needs replaced.
