It should be compatible with anything that has a type A port and it looks like pioneer cdj 2000 has one.

Anyone know why my firestick formats the drive but then says the drive can't be used?

We do not use this device on our fire stick ...we use it as general back up for photos. But we have 2 thumb drives attached to our fire stick which have formatted one as additional storage and the other as removable storage formatted for Android. So we are unable to answer your question...however you could try connecting to a device other than your fire stick.

Will this work with Firestick tv

If the TV has an option to plug in a usb device to record or watch media content on then no reason why it wouldn't. TV should prompt to format the usb device on first use, most tv's will need usb in Fat32 format then you're good to go. After formatting the usb and intend watching media from the usb you'll need to plug the usb into a computer to transfer the media to the usb, then plug it back into the TV.
