Will these work with medela / spectra 24mm flanges? what about the 24mm elvie?

Haven’t tried the 17 mm but the 19 mm definitely worked for the Elvie. The instructions read to insert into the 24 mm flange which resulted in no suction. Tried inserting into the 21 mm flange and the suction was great. Definitely worked much better.

Which works better, the flange with the 17mm inserts or the 17mm flanges? I’m wondering if the softer material might get better results?

Freemie doesnt sell 17mm flanges. Their default is 25 mm. Maymom sells 17mm flanges. I had both. Liked both. Same results. Choose whichever is more convenient for you. I ended up loving the Freemie cups with the Maymom inserts.

Can I insert in a 19mm cups or it’s only for 24mm cups?

They will not fit in a 19mm. They’re made for 25mm, but will fit into a 24mm...however, when inserted into a 24mm flange they stick out a bit but it doesn’t affect suction.
