I was never a speed cuber but used to be able to do the cube. I couldn’t remember the sequences and wanted to try to learn to do it again. I was reluctant to buy due to the price, but glad I did. I’ve had the cube for about a week now and within a couple of days, I had picked up the sequences and was able to remember all of them after a couple more days. I can now work on my times. I still have my old cubes but after using this rubiks connected the movements of the old ones are so stiff and have to be aligned exactly to be able to turn. This turns so easily and there are no worries having to be perfectly aligned. It was easy to set up the app. I’ve only had to resynch my cube once so far and that was straight forward and quick to do. The games are fun and quick to play. I was deciding between this cube and two others. Although this one is stickers, I was drawn to this one as it looks and feels like the original Rubik’s cube. I also checked reviews between the three cubes, and decided on this one. I may never be a speed cuber but I’m already faster than I ever was!

Unfortunately, I have not been able to progress with using this cube. The item sent to me had already been opened, with the cube in an 'unsolved' state. Unfortunately, I was not able to get a straight replacement - As this was purchased as a 'flash sale' item, I could only return this for a refund and place a new order at the higher (standard) price. Regardless, I tried to proceed with this cube. Unfortunately, the App would not allow me to log in. Despite multiple messages to the Customer Service e-mail address for this item, I am still to receive any form of response weeks later. I have no option but to return this. For the price, I could have invested in a high end cube. As I was wanting to invest in an electronic cube and was looking forward to playing with this, it is such a shame that the after sales care was so lacking.

I was really looking forward to using this, it arrived at 7:30pm, i plugged it in, struggled to heck to get the blue centre piece off, held the button, nothing. Turns out there's supposed to be a charge light under the white centre square, no light lighting up, my cube is defective and won't charge... Started the return process, would love to get a replacement sent out because i want this! Fortunately i also ordered the phantom cube, so that will keep me occupied while i wait for a refund and re-order once that's all done... Update: upon getting my refund i ordered a second cube, with great relief, that one does work, and I now know my fastest solve is 68 seconds :)

Having had a normal Rubiks cube gathering dust for years I decided to try this. First things first - it feels 'quality' and it was very easy to sync with the app. The bluetooth range is excellent. Secondly, the app is very intuitive to use and has really good tutorials; don't expect it to 'spoon feed' you, you have to do some of the work yourself but I managed to get my head around it and thats someone who has a normal cube gathering dust! I've not yet tried to use it in competition with others because I want to practice a bit first but the concept of testing yourself against the clock or against other people gives the whole thing some purpose. It's a very clever idea...

I really like this cube and I absolutely love the accompanying app. Addressing some of the criticisms from other reviews: Yes, it has stickers, but I've got stickered cubes which I've been using for years which still look and solve nicely. If you were to have sticker problems there are lots of specialist cube places which sell replacement sets (mostly so that you can choose custom colours I think, but you could just do a straight-forward replacement too). Yes, the battery percentage doesn't update in real time, but there are two solutions: 1) (Carefully) remove the blue centre piece and press the reset button for a few seconds (there a videos online). or 2) In the app, just go to the menu (via the hamburger icon) and select Load Cube State. The battery lasts for quite a long time, so this isn't something that you need to do constantly. In conclusion, the cube isn't quite as nice as the Giiker I3S Super Magic Cube, but the app more than makes up for it. Recommended for anyone who takes cubing seriously.

Super happy with this gift for my 12 year old son. He loves the rubik's cube and also loves gaming. I thought this would be a combination of the two. Initially we couldn't work out how to get it going and the company offered an exchanged. But first we tried a big 30 second reset while the cube was plugged in and suddenly it worked! Within an hour my son had won his first rubik's battle against someone else online. Very impressed with how smoothly it moves. It seems pretty durable. Hopefully the levels in the app go high to maintain challenge. I was a little surprised when I was driving along and my son started playing me Happy Birthday on the rubik's cube - yes it has sound apparently! Brilliant. Totally recommend.

Don’t waste your money!! Does not work! Expensive piece of kit that does not work. It won’t stay connected to phone and now won’t connect at all. Seems to only be able to connect when plugged in but then you can play. Very disappointed and upset little boy. To add insult to injury there is no support available.

Je viens de recevoir ce cube, et à ma grande surprise je remarque que la boîte est endommagée et que le scellé est ouvert... Est-ce un produit neuf ou reconditionné ? De plus je l'ai payé 80 euros et maintenant il est à 70 euros, à quelques jours d'intervalle ! Suite à mes remarques auprès du service client du vendeur, ce-dernier a répondu à mes attentes et je suis entièrement satisfait. Je passe donc d'1 étoile à 5.

Fabulous gift for both kids and adults. They thoroughly enjoyed learning and posing with them.

Update: 6 months in my Rubik's connected gets more time with my wife than me. She, used it to learn to solve the cube, adores the cube. Which now has stickers from the cubicle to replace the manufacturer original. I do still enjoy solving on the cube and it's one of my travel cube. It works really well with Cubeast (which works with almost all smart cubes) and helps get better breakdowns on solves. With this cube, I can see where I need to work on my solves with either the native app or Cubeast. I still highly recommend this cube. I've only had to clean and reapply lube a couple times. As a basis for this review I want to start with my cubing experience. I've been working on cubing and speedcubing for the past 2 years (for the cubers out there I am PB is 14.31 using stackmat timer). I didn't buy this for any other reason than bluetooth cubes are fun to have. I have a Gocube, Giiker, and Gan, smartcube and will be reviewing this product from a comparative approach. The Rubik's connected cube is a fun cube to have in your collection. It turns well and the cube has decent corner cutting and strong magnets. Pros: - Magnetized (a bit strong for my liking but its within reason) - Corner cutting at about 45 degrees and 35 degrees reverse corner cutting - Sticker base colors are the standard Rubiks color scheme (some kind of half-bright mixture) - Quality plastic Cons: - Terrible stickers (go get some at the cubicle for some quality stickers) - Cube is loose with not adjustment system and pops and corner twists can happen (but rarely) - Weight (its not horrible but its one of the heavier smart cubes I own) Moving on to the App, I will only be doing this from a comparative stance: - Best native app for cubing with few connectivity or app bugs - Games are interesting, not the best for learning in a fun way in my opinion (Giiker games are better for learning, but not as much fun) - Academy great for beginners but lacking in speedcuber method teaching advance techniques (Gan is better at that if you are willing to put in what you need) - Closest app to getting slice rotations correctly (all of the apps have this issue to some degree but I find that the barebones method to not try to figure it out that this app as well as the gocube app approach this situation is best. Move counts will be wrong but it doesn't try to guess what you did. - Wide moves are not picked up but it won't ruin your move count because it reads it as the opposite move (r is read as L) and then the rest of your moves record a bit weird. All in all, the app is definitely the best app on the market for beginners. Heck, my wife stole the cube because she loves the app and cube combo. Comparing the cube to other smartcubes. - More normal shape than the gocube's pillowed mess - Less lockups then the Gan cubes (seriously, I can't get those working well for me) - Quiter and less lock ups than the giiker cube I would recommend this cube to anyone from beginner to pro, it is absolutely fun to have and a quick easy way to compete. Finally, the coup de grace to the other cubes on the market. Particula, the manufacturer, is getting a special shout out here. My cube came in with a manufacturer defect. I know these things happen and I'm not in anyway dinging them for that. I am instead making a special shout out to customer service team and their outright dedication to their customers. So here is the situation, my cube came in and one center was turning slowly, and sometimes would let the edges and corners turn around it as it didn't move. So I reached out to Particula. Their response was almost immediate and with genuine concern. They were upset that a cube made it out that was less than perfect. They had me wear in the cube a bit to see if it went away, when I forgot to email them back, they reached out to me to check in. The issue was better but still occurring. I was sent a label and before I even dropped my cube off, they had already shipped out a new cube to me. Their customer service was the service of legends reaching above and beyond my expectations. Which is actually par for the course for them. When my gocube had an issue, they took it in and fixed it no questions asked. The best reason to by this cube over its competitors is the customer service alone. If you have any issues they will go out of their way to help you. Seriously, they are a spectacular company and I couldn't speak more highly of them.

Great rubic to help the kids learn how to solve the rubics. My 10 yr old can now solve it in less than a minute.

A la segunda pero al final hemos logrado sincronizarlo por bluetooth con móvil y tablet El problema es que no se sincroniza y no te da ninguna pista de por qué no lo hace ... No tiene led de carga.... No hay forma de ver el estado de la batería si no lo sincronizas... Etc Después de devolver uno un vendedor nos indica que hay que presionar el interruptor que hay bajo la tapa azul..... Si no me lo dicen ni lo veo.... Durante al menos 10 segundos.... A partir de ese momento.... Y después de haber devuelto uno por ese motivo.... El segundo que compramos logro sincronizar .... Sin más .. una vez superado este trámite el cubo es una gozada... Ligero preciso robusto.... Buena calidad en general Y la app también... Bien acabada y con las opciones justas
