Clear water tastes good.
I bought pitcher with blue filter and my water was clear and good. Then I tried the white filters and water was cloudy. I am back to buying blue ones even though they cost a little more.

Lead in your water!
About a year ago, I received a notice from city hall that the level of lead in our neighborhood drinking water was too high. Now, I have filtered all the water I consume for decades now, but I have always used the standard Brita filter (the white one) in my 2-liters pitcher. I discovered on the Brita web site that the white filter does not filter out lead, so you need this blue one instead if your water contains it. It is more expensive but it it is worth it since lead is dangerous when consumed regularly (remember Flint, MI). A pack of two filters lasts my a year, since I live alone, and allow me to sleep in peace. Of course, it will also filter out all the white filter does, or at least that is Brita's promise. I believe in filtered water, just as good though less expensive than bottled; more work though!

Works great!! Everyone should switch
These filters works great, it's fast, efficient, and really does the job. And I feel much better knowing it removes more impurities than the regular Brita filters! Plus, they last longer, so you don't have to replace them as often. I highly recommend everyone make the switch!

Great value when on sale, noticeably better taste vs standard Brita
Here in Saskatchewan, the quality of the tap water is not great. We've used standard Brita filters for decades and they do the job, however these Elite filters make the water taste MUCH better. I don't taste much, if any difference vs purified water.Using a TDS meter, it doesn't seem to remove that many particles in the water, but it is supposed to remove the more harmful ones. TDS only went from ~250 to ~230. The standard Brita filters do the same though, but again, the water tastes MUCH better.Considering these last 3x as long as the standard filters, they cost around the same when they're on sale.

Lightweight
I noticed immediately these blue ones are much lighter weight than the regular ones, and when I poured the water in the BRITA jug it went through the filter oddly fast!? Not sure if this is normal? Definitely feels like it’s made of lower quality so I’m not sure if it’s truly of better or not..$$
