Can i use regular rj45 lan connectors in the poe ports as well? in need of a 12 port switch for lan only through home.

Yes, you can use POE ports for non-POE devices. This is quite common. It’s best to disable POE ports when using non-POE devices. If pins are bent, there’s a chance of damage.

Can this power older uap-ap that takes 24v passive poe? thanks

The USW line of products does NOT offer 24v power. I've been using Ubiquiti products for 7 years. This is a change I've had to get used to when deploying this line of products for my clients.
