Not worth it
The micron gauge doesnโt work, and there isnโt an option to turn off leak detection. Takes forever to pull down to 500 microns with the auto leak detect feature. I really tried to like it and I dont. Wish I could return it

Great but.....
Great pump but..... micron gauge doesn't work properly besides that its a great pump. Tried contacting manufacturer gave me some bow about how the micron gauge works on this unit. Great idea but in action still needed to buy a micron gauge in which I was trying to avoid purchasing. It does detect a leak though. Great function. But pump said 400 microns and external micron gauge said 1200 which indicated a leak in the system. Pump did detect a leak but microns didn't even came close to the external micron gauge. In my understanding any thing isn't a leak. I am still confused. But other then that it is a great pump

Super
Powerful and very practical for HVAC work The SVP-7 vacuum pump has surprised me for its power and speed when working on air conditioning and cooling systems. The fact that it has a touch screen makes it much easier to read the parameters, and the connection with the app adds a plus to be able to monitor and record everything from the cell phone. The construction feels robust and of good quality. The leak detection system is quite useful, especially in preventive maintenance. It is not the lightest pump, but the power compensates for the weight. In general, an excellent option for technicians looking for efficiency and precision in their HVAC work.

Donโt buy
Didnโt work from the jump. Emailed and reached out multiple times. Ran into them at AHR and was told they have no tech support. Do not buy this product!

looks decent, but have a lot of concerns in reaching out to Elitech with.
UPDATE: 4/25/2023 I did one job with this, an automobile with small 22oz capacity system. While it did draw a vacuum down the first attempt said I had a leak. I did the leak test and NO LEAKS appeared. Second attempt it drew it down to 347 microns according to the lcd which when using a gauge actually was around 1200 micron. It said there was a 13% leak. After resolving that issue, it finally pulled down to 41 microns according to the gauge. I let run till I got notification it was complete and when the motor shut off it immediately bled off 600, 610, 680, 700 all the way up to 1500, eventually to 18,000. When I reached out to Elitech they said itโs normal because they use a solenoid. They did tell me to take the pipe apart and block it and do a pump down test. Iโm not comfortable taking things apart that are still under warranty, as in the past Iโve been told that. Then the manufacturer voided the warranty for tampering. The micron feature is useless on this compressor as itโs not even close to accurate. The touch panel I like, but not necessary. Just something else to get scratched. CONS LCD - ok but kind of pointless. Micron gauge built in - not accurate Drain plug to drain oil - tiny and too long to drain. Only has 1/4 connection - really needs a T with more connections like 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2. LCD easily can get scratched Too big to fit in most boxes for jobs. IS NOT FOR UNATTENDED USE AS ADVERTISED When draining oil out to ship back, oil in window still showed had a little over minimum to run. After turning pump with reservoir up, the oil drained out. This is NOT reliable as someone could easily run without enough oil and ruin the pump. PROS Somewhat quiet Does draw a vacuum Did not get hot like some do. Good features to tell you if it detects a leak. IF IT WORKS RIGHT. Mine said it had a leak even with just the cap on the fitting. Closed off only to pump. After some considerations and receiving email from company I have decided to send it back and just pay more for the Fieldpiece. This unit is ok and may work for DIYers. But for me, I will be relying on this frequently. I mean if push came to shove I could just take the unit apart, remove the sensors for vacuum, remove the solenoid and the other useless stuff and make it work like my Robinair or even yellow jacket. But whatโs the point to buy with these features that just donโt work as they should. 4/23/2025 So, this is the first time using Elitech and it looks great advertises a bunch of features. BUT, it appears that most features do not work as advertised. Using just my gauges and nothing else closed loop, it pulled down to 256 microns according to the pump. Not accurate. My gauge showed 412 microns. After a second attempt the vacuum pump brought down to 45 microns. I assume may get better with break in?The second issue is, after the pump stops after achieving the best vacuum it can, it does a hold or decay test. It bleeds off fast from 45 to 100s, 600s then eventually hits 1500s and higher. Now Iโve retested this a few times and the last time I did it as closed completely. Leaving cap onto the fitting and tightened it. It dropped to 41 microns supposedly then it did the decay/hold test. At this point the compressor shut off and supposedly closed the solenoid for the inlet. Well the cap was on and never loosened and it bled off super fast from 41 to hundred at a time till it reached 18000. Mins you this was completely closed. With cap on suction inlet. My gauges hold the vacuum perfectly and still show the same vacuum from my test hours ago. So no leaks on my gauge set. So I suspect their inlet T fitting with solenoid and sensor leaks internally. Iโm on the fence and almost ready to send it back. When I received it, the shipping box was ok had some marks of damage but itโs a heavy pump. Nothing that would indicate the pump would be broken. After opening the product box I pulled the foam piece out and then the pump. The plastic bag was covered in oil. I wiped it sound and cleaned all of it off. The filler cap was tightened and wasnโt leaking there so Iโm unsure where it leaked from. I have no leaks near reservoir to body or the drain plug. I did check drain plug and itโs right to no leaks. It is fast at getting a vacuum drawn, but I donโt know how well it really will be till I use it more. I knew it was a long shot trying to believe that the interface panel would give an accurate micron reading. The only real way to an achieve this, is to do a deep vacuum, putting a micron gauge in the high side port and drawing through the low side without a schrader valve installed. I will be testing this more tomorrow on the job with my valve core change tool which is vacuum rated and this pump. I kind of wish I bought the field piece vacuum pump. And I may just return it without even trying it out. Not too happy. The quality is decent. Not as good as my Robinair ones or even the Yellowjacket ones. I had high hopes and who knows. This may be just fine for my line of work for small to medium HVAC systems. Not like Iโm doing commercial or industrial refrigeration systems.

This pump is a game changer
I've used small single and 2-stage vacuum pumps for years to pull down vacuum bags for composite parts, and it was time for yet another vacuum pump. I was ready to pay more for a more serious pump, when I came across this gem. The pump's performance specs seemed perfect, and the added digital readout and bluetooth app seemed very useful. I've used the pump about 30 times, mostly to evacuate air from a 2 gallon outgassing chamber, and for a couple of vacuum bagging projects. The pump performs extremely well, pulling down vacuum faster and deeper than my other small pumps. The fittings on the pump were the same as my other pumps. The build quality of the pump seems better than most. What amazes me is the LCD display actually shows the pressure at the vacuum inlet, and it can also graph the pressure change over time. It also shows both the pump and the oil temperatures, and sounds an alarm (?) if they reach a preset maximum. It has many other features that I haven't even used yet. The bluetooth apps works great, and I can view and adjust the vacuum set points remotely, and probably do a lot more. Because of the robust display and information on the touchscreen, I will have trouble going back to using "dumb" vacuum pumps.

Seems like a great pump for the money.
Really nice pump. Didn't seem to pull a vacuum as quickly or as efficiently as my old, very worn in pump. It did seem to work better on the second job than it did the first. I expect it will continue to get better as it wears in and seats the reeds better. I am also using the initial oil that came with it. I was very hesitant to get this pump when it had no reviews but am very happy so far. It is quiet. The touch screen concerns me some, not sure how it will hold up in a service van. Love the wireless connection for monitoring when I am working in another area. I'd like to get some of the other elitech gauges now!

Ready to go out of the box
Big solid beast, but easy to move around thanks to the carry handle. This thing was ready to go right out of the box - I was expecting to have to wire a plug on it and buy some oil, but everything is included, all you need to do is fill it with oil and plug it in to test. The touchscreen is big and bright, I found it to be pretty responsive (a little bit laggy, but not too bad) and easy to read. Everything worked out of the box, I am going to be using this for casting resins and stabilizing wood, I may update this review after I have used it for that application.

VERY VERY POOR AFTER PURSHASE SUPPORT
THIS VACUUM PUMP WORKED OK WHEN IT WORKED. BUT AFTER THE 1 YEAR MARK IT QUIET AND THEIR SUPPORT IS WORTH NOTHING. PAID GOOD MONEY FOR THIS PUMP BUT WITH AFTER SERVICE SUPPORT IS THE POOREST. THE SCREEN ONE DAY SHOWED NOTHING AND NEXT DAY IT WENT BLANK AND THEIR RESPOSE IS CLEAN THE SENSOR WHICH HAS BEEN DONE AT EVERY OIL CHANGE. NOW THEY DON'T EVEN REPLY TO MY E MAIL. I WOULD NOT RECOMEND PURCHASING ANY PRODUCT FROM ELITECH AND EXPECT SUPPORT

one 1/4" port
The "Elitech SVP-7 Vacuum Pump 7 CFM 2 Stage Intelligent HVAC Refrigerant Recharging, Touch Screen, Data Logging and Storage via App" has worked well enough for the couple of test runs we've done. It has some great features, like the touch screen. We haven't been able to test it thoroughly enough yet to say whether or not it will last, but so far is it creating a vacuum fairly quickly and is easy enough to use for beginners. This review will be updated as needed.

Useless to me.
In the Q&A about this item the seller stated that it would work with a Harvestright Freeze Dryer. It wont. A useless item to me.
