I've wanted a sit/stand desk for years, but they've always been really expensive. So when I found this, I had it in my list for probably a year before taking the risk on something so cheap.I think the majority of the money in the more expensive models must be when they supply a desktop to go with. Since I only bought the legs and mounted my 30-year old office desk top to it, I've got to say these legs are actually as good as one could hope for.They are sturdy - there doesn't seem to be any slop or rocking back and forth, even at it's full height. The controller is very modern looking and seems reliable. Best of all, the motors are whisper quiet and plenty fast enough. I was expecting it to sound like the tail-lift on a truck going up and down but there won't be any problem raising and lowering this even late at night when the family has gone to bed.If I had anything critical to say, I'd say that it should be more obvious that using the (supplied) castor wheels instead of the adjustable feet does affect the minimum height of the desk by a couple of centimeters. It's not much, but for my "ergonomics" measurements that is 2cm too much, which is a shame, as it would've been nice to be able to move it around (to vacuum etc). However, the castors would likely have introduced some sway into the overall thing, so perhaps it's for the best.Oh, and one other thing - the instructions say assembly only takes 30 mins. That's probably accurate for a "greenfield" installation, but if you're replacing a complex desk setup (two computers, multiple screens, and USB/DPI cables all over the place) then don't underestimate the additional hours of dismantling everything and re-installing. And get a friend to help if you need to carry the box upstairs when it arrives.

I don’t usually write reviews, but I am so pleased with this desk that I had to share my experience. If you’re reading this and debating buying this desk, do it!I bought the T2 Pro dual motor in Grey and decided to buy a desk top from IKEA separately. I got a nice looking desk top (LAGKAPTEN), 2 metres long for £35. Fits just great. I had to drill small pilot holes for the screws where I wanted them but there were only 8 to do and didn’t take much time.Assembly of the desk itself was very straightforward with clear instructions. It is sturdy, really solid at all heights and the legs are HEAVY which helps. It moves up and down smoothly and isn’t noisy.Now, I’ve been looking for a sit/stand desk for a while and you can get real cheap ones elsewhere (can’t comment on these) or expensive desks which do the same thing. Others I’ve seen are in the 5-600 mark.So in summary, for the price and the quality. This is a real gem and I would highly recommend.

1) There is no meaningful wobble to the desk, below around 80cm. Above that height, you start to notice a little bit of wobble in the desk, but nothing significant. Certainly not enough to put me off working at my comfortable height of 108cm.2) The package is very heavy. The frame itself weighs in at 27kg total in the box, which makes moving it around a bit more challenging. However, this weight, and the solid materials, means that it feels incredibly solid and sturdy. (Hence the lack of wobble, mentioned in point 1)3) Assembly is fairly straightforward, and shouldn't take you too long. I ordered this desk frame along with a 160x80cm MAIDeSITe desk top, to go with it. Because of that, the appropriate holes were already pre-drilled, which made the assembly much much easier than it would have been otherwise. All-in-all, it took me around 30 mins to assemble the desk and have it plugged in for testing and initial setup. Note - although the package included all the tools you need to assemble it, I'd very much recommend having a decent screwdriver on hand (one with a thick handle, preferably), as a couple of the screws were quite stiff, especially the ones that secure the control panel to the table top.4) Operation is quiet, quick and smooth. Not much more to say about that, except that it did exceed my expectations. I can use it at night without fear that I'll be disturbing anyone in adjacent rooms.Very happy with this desk overall. From doing months and months of research on the various sit/stand desk options out there, most at this price-point and below seem much more wobbly than this, and few tick all the boxes (stability, collision detection, 4 preset heights, length-adjustable, being able to go below 70cm in height, etc.) in the same way as this one does.

My first standing desk was from Ikea, which is arguably the most popular standing desk. I used it for a couple of years and it certainly fit with my decision to spending time both sitting and standing. However, after a further back injury (I herniated my back in the oh so common L4/L5 zone over ten years ago) I got myself a fit ball for a period of time and used that. My back mostly recovered but my routine for sitting and standing didn’t and that was down to poor habits and laziness. The laziness was no doubt down to the fact that the Ikea desk required a handle to be turned to change the desk height and yes, I grew too lazy to even do that.A few years went by and the Ikea desk travelled to a new home and I stayed sat on my fit ball. I eventually ‘upgraded’ to a Herman Miller Aeron chair and then shortly after that decided that I wanted to give sitting / standing a new go. I thought about recovering my Ikea desk but could hardly take it back from my wife (she runs a dance school and has the desk permanently in standing standing mode in one of her studios). So, I looked into a new standing desk. A motorised one.Geeky excitement ensued as I searched for a sitting / standing desk with …. motors.After my research, I had discovered that motorised desks have either a single or dual motor assembly. Single motors are cheaper and usually weaker than their dual motor counterparts. However, dual motor versions can sometimes get out of sync, whereby the two motors run at different speeds, resulting in a desk surface which isn’t level. You also get two and three stage legs - not much difference there (certainly not regarding stability) but three stage versions do allow for higher and lower desk heights. The next issue to consider would be the dimensions of the desktop itself. I wanted a desk that was sat least 70cm deep with a width of around 120cm (about 28” by 47”). Two stage, dual motor desks with these dimensions in a finish I liked were few a far between. In the end, I decided to buy the legs and motor assembly and source my own desk surface.I opted for the MAIDeSITe Adjustable Height Standing Desk Dual Motors - Black (currently selling on Amazon for £240.00). Hence my review here.The next problem was that I wanted a wooden desk top and wood, nice wood, is really quite pricey. For example, the pieces I was looking at more than doubled the cost of the desk legs. So, after some back and forth I bought a cheap piece of ply, laid some wood effect laminate flooring I had across the top and cut it to the dimensions I was after. I told myself that my plan would be to use this as a test to see if the dimensions were a good fit. After a few weeks, I’ve given up on the search for a nice bit of wood and will stick with my botch job for the foreseeable future. If a suitable bit of wood turns up, I’ll switch, no questions but for now, I’m very happy with how it has turned out (see pic).So, after assembling the desk (a couple of hours work including making the legs / base and cutting the laminate flooring) what’s it been like? Wonderful. The MAIDeSITe desk works very well indeed. The dual motors are very smooth and quiet (I like the noise they make when in use - sounds like a sci-fi movie sound effect) and they raise and lower my desk setup with ease (I have an ultrawide monitor weighing over 6kgs, along with a Mac mini, monitor stand, some books, the desk top itself and it handles this 20 kilos or so of weight quite effortlessly). There’s very little wobble although I’m only 5’8” tall so the desk is set to 98cm at its highest point so not much chance to wobble anyway). The control panel is great. It has 4 memory settings and you only really need two per person so the desk is good to go for a couple of people before you need to worry about manual adjustment. It has a timer function so that after 30 minutes, 1 hour or 2 hours after it’s been started, the control panel will vibrate, reminding you to change your position (obviously, you don’t need to use this feature). There’s a decent safety feature that stops the desk descending if it pushes against something (if it does, it’ll stop and rise automatically) handy if you forget that you wheeled a printer under your desk whilst it was in standing mode.And does it help with posture? Well, the jury’s out on that one but since I now spend between a third and half of my work time standing instead of sitting, I’d reckon that it should offset the damage I’ve been doing by sitting for extended periods of time. The Ikea standing desk did the same thing but after a while, that manual handle simply got in the way of changing the desk position - there’s simply no excuse with a motorised desk because it takes a few seconds to switch :)All in all, I’m very happy with the sitting / standing desk concept and equally so with the MAIDeSITe desk. I can’t imagine I’d go back to sitting all the time and for what it’s worth I can happily recommend the MAIDeSITe.Lastly, top marks to MAIDeSITe did a great job on the building and use instructions - very clear and difficult to make incorrectly. The packing was also really neat though quite a lot of foam (no polystyrene though) - which is to be expected considering that it's both heavy and bulky. Peace!

This is an exceptionally good quality product. Well made, sturdy, easy to put together too. They really have thought of everything. The instructions are clear and the frame is designed in such a way that it'll adapt to many different types of desktop. I couldn't be happier. It's not cheap, but in the end, I think it represents good value for money.

On the whole, I'm really happy with so many elements of this desk.It arrived, well packaged with everything neatly laid out in two layer of foam packaging. From there it's trivial to confirm you have all the parts (hint: the spanner is in with the castors). All metal parts looked very sturdy with a finish that looked like it would last well.The instructions were generally very well laid out and clear, which made for easy assembly with the supplied tools.Once assembled, it was very easy to run through the instructions to set up controls for the desk height adjustment & store my default sit/stand desk heights using the presets available. The speed is quick enough & the ability to use the presets to switch height with a single press is great. The motors seems quite powerful & didn't struggle with any load I placed on them.The desk does come fitted with flat 'feet' fitted, which can be swapped for the included castors if you want mobility on a more solid floor.Now to the only caveat. The symmetrical base design & wide brackets that support the desk means the crossbars that go across under the middle of the desk joining the legs could get in the way of your knees if you like a lower sitting desk & don't have a deeper depts on your desktop. The side brackets that fix the legs to the desk top are about 56cm wide, so on a small 60cm depth desk, the crossbar might only be about 25cm from the front of the desk & protrude down up to 5cm... so watch your knees.Given how often a desk typically has more weight at the back, a more cantilevered design with the legs further back might give more room for knees with minimal re-engineering of the feet & side brackets. I am adjusting to this desk but still catch my legs multiple times currently so would prefer a slightly different design. That aside, very happy with the desk on the whole.

I've had a couple of the rival desks at around this price point and both had one fundamental flaw... the wobble when at full height. I'm 6ft so needed a desk that could raise to a level that wouldn't hurt my neck or arms and be stable enough to handle the equipment I had. Namely a gas powered monitor arm, a 30" 4k display, a steel (heavy) Macbook Pro stand and the Macbook Pro to go on it, and a few peripheries. This desk did not disappoint!The motors effortlessly lift up a solid piece of oak I bought and oiled to form the work surface (2000mm x 720mm) and the dual motors gracefully slow down to a complete and soft stop at the top and bottom of a lift/raise. The operation is buttery smooth and has a lovely quiet but satisfying motorised "hum" when lowering and lifting. The built-in sit/stand reminder alarm the control panel has is a nice a touch to remind you to stand too.There seems to be some confusion too about the cable tidy underneath not providing enough "width" for the size of desktops advertised. The width of the desk I have is the maximum size allowable by the frame of 2000mm (2 meters). The legs extend to 180 but when they do the cable management panel won't take all 8 screws it'll only take 4. Which. Is. Fine. It's just a cable management panel. It offers little if any extra stability using all 8 screws for a cable management panel which is already taken care of by the shape, material and structure of the legs and frame.The legs are *very* (and reassuringly) heavy so might need more than one person to put up although I managed pretty easily to do it myself. For a desk that offers very little lateral and back-and-forth movement at the top of its leg height (although there is *some*), and one able to lift the amount of weight that it does, for this price you won't find anything better I don't think. I spent a bit more on a desktop but I think the result is well worth it.The only thing I had to do was make sure that their website had the model I wanted in stock before ordering from amazon. It seems that a lot of the times colours/sizes on amazon show as in-stock when they're not in stock with the supplier which some people here have complained about. I ordered the white legs to begin with and then cancelled the order when I saw their website showed them to be out of stock and re-ordered the black ones on Amazon.

I am very happy with this electric desk frame. The build quality is solid and well engineered. Once assembled, it feels very sturdy and stable, even when supporting a heavy custom worktop.Assembly was straightforward and all components fitted precisely. The lifting mechanism operates smoothly and quietly, and it does exactly what it is designed to do.The control panel is excellent and offers many useful features. The child lock is a great addition for safety. There are four programmable memory buttons (1–4), which allow you to save your preferred height positions and switch between them instantly. There is also a reminder timer function to prompt you to change position, which is a thoughtful feature.One feature I use frequently is the built-in USB charging port on the controller. It is very convenient to have a charging cable directly available without needing additional adapters.I did not purchase a tabletop from the manufacturer, as I built my own using 18 mm concrete plywood to create a heavy-duty workstation. The frame handles the weight without any issues, and remains stable and reliable during use.Overall, this is an excellent product with strong build quality, useful features, and reliable performance. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a quality adjustable desk frame.
