Easy to use
This device makes gravel cleaning easy. Using your thumb on the end of the hose as a stop allows you to get the poo from the gravel without siphoning all the water out of the tank. Plecos and goldfish make a mess so water changes are normal routine every 3 months. This tool makes the job bearable.

Large python water changer makes large water changes very easy-- just be careful of small fish!
For my large guppy tanks in which I breathe plants and Guppies, there is always a lot of waste to be removed and a smaller unit simply would not do the trick. I have always used larger diameter cleaners such as this python unit due to the fact that I don't have a lot of time to waste with smaller diameter tubes, and this worked like a charm! The one thing I would be careful of and caution other fish freezers about is to put a piece of mesh on the top end of the unit so that you do not inadvertently get weak or small fish such as fry sucked out of your tank. That's the only drawback to using this large of a water siphon. Overall very happy with the purchase so far, and python products are very reputable! Just be careful of the strong section for your small fish!

Outstanding Vacuuming power
I have had this syphon/vacuum for 18 months, and it is the best unit I have had for my 55 gallon& 80 aquariums. The long acyclic cylinder is easy to maneuver, more over, it picks up the gravel and swirls it around in the tube for a thorough cleaning. I can clean my 55 gallon tank's gravel in 10 minutes and suck out 15 gallons of water. The 6' hose makes moving it between 7 gallon buckets quite easy. I would recommend this to anyone who wants an aggressive vacuum and a fast syphon for their large tanks.

Works great once you get the suction going.
Once you get the water flowing it works great. My tank is very deep so until I got this, with the extra long tube (not the hose, the hose is fairly short), it was really awkward to clean my gravel without getting myself soaked in the process. The only problem is it can be tricky to get the flow going. I have found the easiest way is to put my thumb over the end of the hose and then use either the overflow from the filter or the sink to fill the whole unit up with water, then I quickly submerse the tube end while releasing my thumb from the hose and directing the hose into a bucket. This will usually create enough suction to get it going.

Good quality
This really sucks some water on my 90 gallon tank. It doesn't come with a filter guard inside of the tube so, be careful with small fish or debris that you don't want to go thru the tube or the hose. The price is ok. It is a quality siphon. It doesn't come with a pump so, you will have to learn how to use it.

So simple but powerful!
I took it out of the box and saw it was only a plastic nozzle attached to a heavy gauge plastic hose. Since it didn’t have a squeeze pump, I doubled it would work very well. I was wrong! It worked great. It sucked the water out of the aquarium so fast, I had to watch my 5 gallon bucket closely. The suction also sucked up the gravel and I was able to clean the gravel of the waste and food that had settled to the bottom. This is a really great product!!

Great for 75 gallon
Great for 75 gallon. Suction is just right, not too fast but powerful enough to get my tank really clean. How I use mine, I attached a plastic garden hose female bib to the end of the siphon hose and attached it to a garden hose. With the other end of the garden hose still attached to the faucet, I open the faucet which starts putting water into the tank. Then without turning off the water, I unscrew the water hose which creates a suction in the siphon. Once completely detached, the water comes siphoning out then clean the gravel as normal. I think the restriction of the long hose keeps the siphon from sucking water out at a high rate which I have read on some of the other reviews. I was pleased with the rate and power. Very clean method and I don't have to carry out buckets of water anymore. That's just the way I clean out the tank. Hope this helps.

Good Gravel Washer With Dealbreaker Functionality
This gravel washer is very well built the hose stays in place and attached to the tube very well unlike other gravel washers that i have used that tends to come apart at this area. The only things that i dislike about the gravel washer is the way you have to start it you have to submerge the entire gravel washer hose and all, make sure the whole thing is filled with water put your finger over the hose end and bring it up and out of the tank and into your bucket or whatever you are draining the water into then remove your finger then it starts, the problem with this whole process is that you have to stick you whole arm in the tank, freak/stress out your fish, and then repeat the process if your container fills up and you have to empty it and come back and take more water out of your tank. I may try the add on pump bulb to see if it make the process more efficient.
