Fan worked as expected. Perfect fit.

My HP laptop showed my cooling fan was defective and the computer would shut down in 15 seconds. Bought the part and Best Buy Geek Squad replaced it. When I picked it up they said it was pretty noisy and boy, were they right. It's pretty annoying. I'm not sure if the part is defective or maybe some dust got in during the repair or what.

This fan is an exact fit for OEM replacement and was initially a good replacement. However, after only 3 months the bearing is clearly going bad already and the fan is now making constant noise. It's only a matter of time before it fails completely. For reference, the OEM fan performed silently for over 7 years before failing.

easy replacement, perfect fit....but it died after being used 20 times over a couple of months.

The fan lasted less than one day before it started making the same type of bearing noise as the original. Granted, this one isn't as noisy yet but continues to get louder. Not something you want to listen to all day while working.

OEM fan lasted years before the bearings started to wear/make noise. This cheap knock off was noisy right away, but still quieter than the worn out original. But that only lasted about 2 weeks before it started to get just as loud as what it replaced. Gets better/worse depending on the speed it spins at, but never gets quiet enough to not notice it. Save your money and get something better quality, or OEM if possible.

Expensive for what it is.

The fan lasted a week, and now making unbearable noise so that I can not tolerate without a headphone. I wish I had zero star option to give.

The aluminum case was bent not allowing it to easily fit in the chassis of the laptop, was catching.
