Best quality of all receivers; 750lbs tongue rating.
I'll be using this drop receiver with my ten-year-old Kuat Shepard on my Volvo XC60 recharge with drawtite hitch. This is by far the best 2" drop receiver--I bought four for comparison. Unlike the Roadmaster equivalent, powder coat is clearly thicker and shinier. Unlike the Meyer equivalent, the tube is hollow yet has a higher tongue rating. Material and welds seem slightly thicker than Roadmaster--again consistent with the Curt's epic 750lbs tongue weight rating. Unlike the Kuat receiver this has no built-in nut and one hole (I've drilled a second, 1.375" in from the current for a deeper insertion.) Note that the Kuat receiver had 5/8 threaded fine whereas paclock pin is 5/8-11 (coarse). I specifically looked for a hollow tube drop receiver so I could add my own 5/8"-11 nut for the paclock threaded pin. When it comes to hitch accessories, I'm only buying Curt from now on. All the rest is made-in-china cheap grade (and yet similarly priced....).

Perfect Extension + Rise For Hyundai Palisade
I purchased a 2020 Hyundai Palisade and had a hitch installed with every intention of using it to tow a pop-up camper. By the time I finally got around to trying that I realized I had no idea what I was doing. Everything was too low and a normal rise hitch was really close to the back of the car. I also use a sway bar and finding a 2โ rise + sway hitch point that also extends far enough away from the vehicle to also use my Curt Bluetooth brake controller doesnโt exist. Thatโs where this adapter was a lifesaver. The extension was great and the rise is perfect. Problem solved. Itโs a few moving parts but I use a couple of anti rattle hitch pins and the whole mechanism is solid. One thing to note if you are planning on using anti-rattle hitch pins the interior shaft portion of this that slides into the car receiver is thicker than a standard 2โ hitch and a couple of anti-rattle mechanisms didnโt fit.

Perfect fit for Toyota Crown Signia with OEM hitch receiver
This worked great for a Toyota Crown Signia with a Toyota OEM hitch receiver, which is too low and quite recessed under the back bumper. I am using this for a bike rack, but the labeling seems to indicate that it can also be used for towing. The stated tongue weight is 750 lbs, which seems really high for a hitch extender.

Seems well built and price was much lower thatn roadmaster or Blue OX.
Needed to change from a 4" to 2" drop hitch when I changed my motorhome from class C sprinter to a Fleetwood Class A DP. You wouln't think there would be such a height change but the sprinter hitch was 2" higher than the Class A hitch and the 4" drop I had before set my ford focus tow bar pointing downward toward the Class A drop hitch. The 2" drop was absolutely level , and with the 4" I actually had the hitch bottom hit the pavement when there was a dip at the street exit in my neighborhood. The Curt drop hitch actually was rated at 7500 LBs and the Roadmaster 4" drop hitch was only 6000 lb rated. The curt was about 45$ and the other was 125$.

Well built and nice finish
I purchased this as a drop hitch adaptor to tow my truck with my motorhome. I paid a little more for the name brand Curt hitch adaptor, but I had an off brand that I purchased on Amazon because it was cheaper that failed. DON'T DO IT, PAY THE MONEY! The cheaper one actually broke at a weld while pulling the truck. Thank God the safety cables did their job. The welds on this adaptor look much beefier and the finish looks very durable.

Used to attach bike rack for Jeep Wrangler
Very happy with this purchase. I drive a Jeep Wrangler, and my bike rack prohibited me from opening the tailgate due to the spare tire hitting the bike rack. This extender drops the bike rack enough for me to open the door about 90% of the way now and saved me from having to buy a Yakima hitch swing (~$400). Highly recommend going this route to save some money and make it practical to use a bike rack on a Jeep Wrangler.

strong and works
This class II towing extension works very well. Used it to tow 6000lb trailer. Liked it how you can lower or raise the ball by 2 inches. It is very solid.

Great fit
This fits great into the 2.5โ receiver on my 2014 Ram 2500. I did put one layer of electrical tap on the left and right side to make it even more snug, as I am attaching a rear-mounted snow plow to it and I want as little movement as possible, but for a normal trailer the fit is perfectly good. Welds are good, feels solid and itโs been holding up just fine. Great product!
