What a beautiful Lenormand deck!
There are many reasons I love this deck! Ok so I’m not new to tarot or other oracle decks; I’ve been practicing for decades. I am new to Lenormand but this is the perfect deck for learning the Lenormand system & here’s why. Each Lenormand card is associated with a pip card. Lots of different styles don’t include the image of the pip but this deck includes it in a nice lil box on the corner of each card. The symbols are simple while also being beautiful. This deck also features the key word directly on the cards, so that with the little pip box make this such an excellent deck to learn on while also maintaining the beauty of the pictures under the pip. I was so drawn to these cards due to the artwork especially. The keywords do not detract from the art at all. The art gives you a beautiful feeling of haunting nostalgia in a way that’s hard for me to explain. They’re the smallest cards I own (besides Tiny Tarot) but it is SUCH evocative set of artworks! There’s also a guidebook to help you with the keywords. The original deck doesn’t come with a guidebook I believe but this one does, which is also great for learning. One of my favorite things about this deck are the optional cards for child, ladies & gentleman! That was a very thoughtful thing to include with this deck. They shuffle very smoothly. I never riffle shuffle but I expect them to riffle easily if that’s how you like to shuffle! They’re great with both horizontal & vertical overhand shuffle, I know that! The card stock is also nice. They’re smaller than standard playing card size. I’ve included a picture for reference. This deck is the one in the middle (rose on the back), with a standard size tarot card from my Intuitive Night Goddess deck on the left side (black back with white stars) & a card from my Vanessa Tarot deck, which is the size of standard playing cards on the right (purple back with blue stars) for comparison. I absolutely recommend this deck to anyone, especially if you’re just beginning to learn Lenormand like I am! But even if you’ve practiced with traditional or other Lenormand style cards, I still recommend this deck! Even just based on the feeling it gives me when looking at it & the beautiful art with the simple meanings. Hopefully you understand what I mean when I said it gives a haunting sense of nostalgia, because I mean it in a good way! It’s a beautiful little deck!

Beautiful Lenormand deck
One of the most beautiful Lenormand decks I own. This is conveniently small and brings three extra cards for the child, gentleman and lady. Also, its cardstock and print are of outstanding quality. While I was making my decision to buy this deck, I read between the reviews one very racist comment. Something along the lines that “Lenormand is European, so why were there no European people on the cards.” In this day and age, to keep that mentality of what is European is this, or that, it doesn’t apply anymore. Go to France or any other country in Europe to see what being European means these days. I want to give a great shout-out to the artist who created this beautiful deck, for their art and for wanting everyone to feel identified with it. The only thing missing is a better quality box for this deck, but I store my decks in tins or hard cases. So, it’s not bad but could be better.

This is my 2nd physical deck and I even have the Digital from Fool’s Dog
This is by far and away one of my most favorite Lenormand decks. It’s perfect and I love the extra man, woman and child cards! As do clients. One of my most accurate decks probably. I can tell a lot of the people who complain about size are unfamiliar with the Lenormand system and how it’s read…much like Kipper. They’re meant to be smaller as Grand Tableau spreads use all of the cards. I would recommend brushing up on those areas before leaving a bad review based solely on the size of the cards. It’s kind of unfair to the creators and consumers. I can appreciate a difference of opinion, but it’s just happening SO often from people who aren’t getting how this works at all. It’s pretty standard in size when it comes to Lenormand/Kipper cards. It’s why they’re less costly (usually). I think it’s pretty fair honestly. Then again…I have petite hands. I wouldn’t pass this deck up based on reviews about size though because this specific deck is absolutely worth it!

It ranks in the top 3 Lenormand decks
LOVE the "alternate" child, gentleman, and lady cards! Had I known, this would have been my first and only Lenormand deck for this reason alone. Additional great things about this deck: There's no need for extra scrutiny to discern moon from stars like in some other decks, and while the lillies card can mean sex, the whip card in this deck makes it clear which card references the act for this card designer. Some differences to note: The ring card, for me, is overpowered by the rose in the image but the beauty of the deck is unmistakable. Also, a beginning reader learning traditional card images and card titles may be thrown by the journal (book), locket (heart), and grave (coffin) cards but the more experienced reader will appreciate the contextual play and have no problem reading this deck. All in all, it's a great deck. It's earned a place as 1 of my top 3 Lenormand decks.

Great Lenormand deck
This is such a cute Lenormand deck. The cardstock is good and the images are great. I love having the card name on the bottom of each card making it possible to use as the bottom deck to lay a Grand Tableau on with a mini-deck on top. The cards are small so in order to use them as a base deck for a GT you must have a mini-Lenormand deck to sit on top if you want to use it as such. This deck is really a must-have for Lenormand enthusiasts.

Great cards, bad booklet
I really like the artwork in this deck. It's clean and clear and therefore easily interpreted. The Dog and Mice cards stand out in this regard, as they're so much cuter than the standard versions. Some of the card names have been changed, though. Birds is now Owls and Coffin is now The Grave. The changed names don't change the meanings, though. This does have playing card inserts, but they're tiny and located in the lower right corner of each card so they're unobtrusive. The cardstock is the heavy and durable stock I expect from US Games. These cards shuffle well and will probably hold up through repeated use and abuse. The instructions leave a lot to be desired, though. The Moon card is a good example. They used the traditional Tarot meanings of fear, deception, confusion, revelation, and uncertainty. In Lenormand, the Moon carries a very different meaning and often means creativity, fame, attraction, attention, and praise. RADICALLY DIFFERENT. Most of the other meanings are close or the same as the traditional ones, but this one stood out and made me cringe. So if you're studying Lenormand, this would be a good starter deck for the images. Toss the instructions and go with Caitlin Matthews or Marcus Katz instead.

Lovely little deck, great for beginner and experienced reader alike
I have several Lenormand decks, and this is one of my favorite. I love the artwork, as well as the card stock and size. I use the Grand Tableau quite often, and prefer somewhat smaller cards to save space. I'm picky about my card stock; as a professional psychic card reader, I use my cards frequently, and so sturdy card stock that still shuffles smoothly is absolutely essential. These cards stand up to that, and I'm very pleased with them. The imagery sticks to traditional Lenormand symbolism for the most part, but the Whip definitely shows the artist's preference for that as the "intimacy" card! Upon close inspection, each of the cards has the keywords in the background. They aren't obvious, so won't distract even the most seasoned reader, but they are nice to have for those moments when you blank out during a reading!

Beautiful Deck
Under the Roses is my first Lenormand deck. The images on the cards are gorgeous. That's what drew me to the cards in the first place, the images. I'm totally new to Lenormand, so I'm not knowledgeable about the cards. I read a review that said these cards deviate from a traditional Lenormand deck. Keep that in mind if you've used other traditional Lenormand decks. The cards are sturdy, well-made and easy to shuffle. The smaller size is a nice change from larger tarot and oracle cards. You will really like these if you have small hands. There are also two versions of the child, the lady and the gentleman - which I think is a nice touch. You choose the version of the card that best suits the situation or the person for which you're reading. In all, this is a nice deck of cards.
