How do you take photos with the gopro while using the handler? Seems awkward to have to use your other hand to release shutter button?

I shoot only video with the GoPro. If I want a picture I select a frame from the video.

The length of the floater handle is 8” long. I recently used on a Caribbean cruise in August and a weekend trip to a water park with my grandkids. This item works great and keeps the camera afloat. Soft handle makes it easy to hold onto for many hours of use.

Can this be used for scuba diving, if so to what depth

Yes. I bought this and used it strictly for scuba diving. The furthest I went down was 80ft. I imagine it can go further.
