The Gradual - Gradual Tan Lotion - Cruelty & Toxic Free

I do not like spray tans or any of these tanning lotions or foams but desperate times call for desperate measures 😂. They all smell horrible, look orange once they dry and are always splotchy/streaky. This is the BEST product I’ve used! Really light, goes on smoothly and evenly, is not streaky or orange and it doesn’t smell! I applied it in circular motions with a mitt. 10/10!!!

This product is amazing. I first bought it after seeing it recommended on TikTok, and even though it’s definitely on the pricier side, it has been completely worth it. The color is so natural and glowy, and it’s perfect for daily use or for maintaining a tan between mousse applications. The consistency is great, it dries quickly, and it doesn’t have that strong “self-tanner smell” most lotions have. It applies very evenly, and the only time I’ve ever gotten streaks was in the usual tricky spots — hands, feet, ankles, and wrists — which happens with every tanning product. As long as you blend those areas carefully and wash your hands afterward, it looks flawless. I use it all over my body and pair it with my L’Oréal tanning drops on my face, and together they genuinely make me look healthier and more refreshed, like I actually eat vegetables and drink water on purpose. Overall, I absolutely love this lotion and fully plan to keep buying it when I run out, but so far my first bottle has been long lasting. 10/10 — highly recommend.

I use this after the shower in a this layer before applying my normal body lotion and I’ve maintained a very natural glow all winter long in Connecticut! It’s definitely not dark enough to be considered “tan” so I will switch it up in the summer but for the rest of the year this helps keep me looking healthy and toned. I love it

This is the BEST gradual self tanner I have ever used, and I’ve used them all! It smells good, makes your skin GLOW and is not heavy or transfer to clothes. It’s worth the price. High value!

I don’t do self-tanning products because I always mess them up. Even the Jergens lotion that everyone loves because it’s “easy.” I haven’t had time this summer to hit the beach, and even if I did I’m concerned about my skin, so I looked into self-tanning lotions and saw this had high reviews. I can see why, it’s very easy to use, it smells nice, and the after-smell isn’t as bad as the other brands I’ve tried. The color is very natural and develops fairly quickly: after an hour or so I saw a hint of color and by the next morning (I applied it before bed) I looked like I’d had some sun. I will say you need to massage the lotion in thoroughly, the first time I applied it I massaged for a while and it came out evenly. The next time I got a little lazy and didn’t do a good job so there was some uneven spots (but it wasn’t straight up brown like other tanning mishaps I’ve done lol). I liked it so much I ordered another bottle before I’m even halfway done with this bottle.

I read a lot of reviews on how this was a perfect gradual tan. I disagree. While it smells nice putting on, it quickly turns to that typical fake tan smell. So if you are buying it to not smell like fake tan - don’t. It also says it isn’t streaky, but it is! I am a long time fake tanner so I was hoping this was a quick fix to my typical st tropez routine. It’s not the quick fix. Maybe you can do one application and it looks fine (but almost unnoticeable) but when you apply a second coat the next day, the discrepancies become apparent. If you thought this was a daily or intermittent lotion to give you a nice tan, I would just stick to your normal self tanning routine.

I love this stuff. Been using it for over a year. Its an excellent tan you can build with multiple applications. Doesn't stink. I love that I don't have to wash it off. Just put it on after my bath or shower and I'm good to go and glowing in a few hours. Looks very natural, no Oompa Loompas here!

If I could give this product a zero , i would have but it didn’t give me that option . This has got to be the worse gradual self tanner i’ve used and ive tried plenty. If you want to look like an oompa loompa/pumpkin, this will be the product for you . The liquid white consistency doesn’t help . It’s tricky because you don’t know if you missed certain spots . The smell is awful . Honestly i hardly wrote amazon reviews but i completely compelled to save someone from falling into buying this product .
