Barfly Portable Ice Pick, Stainless/Wood

With the Barfly brand name I thought it would have a better fit and finish, but it just doesn't. The brass ferrules are not even with the wooden handle. They're not concentric and there's about a 9 thou (0.23mm) offset at the worst point. It's fairly uncomfortable, as it's a sharp edge. The two ferrules also don't align all that well when screwed together, though it's closer than the handles. There's also a brass washer inside the ferrule that I guess is protecting the end grain of the wood from the spike when you insert it, but it's loose and rattles. And, finally, the pick itself isn't very sharp. The whole point of there being a cover is because an ice pick is famously sharp. And this one just isn't. I feel like I could fix the misaligned ferrules with some sandpaper, and fix the rattle with some superglue, but I'm not sure I can reasonably sharpen the pick. I've uploaded photos and a video of these flaws. The photo with the two picks is of this and a pick from a set of automotive picks. The feeler gauge, where you can still just see a glint off the ferrule is an 8 thou (0.20mm) gauge. I'm up in the air about whether it's worth the trouble to return it, but I definitely recommend that no one else buy it. Edit: I finally decided to return it, and was told that they don't even want it back. I think that's kind of telling: it's so cheap to produce that it's not worth their time to restock. Yet they're selling it for $8.

Muy buen producto, me llegó en tiempo y forma, el empaque precia abierto anteriormente pero el artículo está en perfectas condiciones, muy bien construido, se ve elegante, aún no he picado hielo con el pero consideró que para un uso casero es la mejor opción!
