A tip: I have a high arch in my back, so using it on the floor wasn’t effective for me. I placed it on the couch instead, and it worked perfectly. I didn’t really know what to expect when ordering this, but I had seen quite a few advertisements and I thought I would give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised! The first time I laid on it I thought there is no way I am going to be able to lay on this for any amount of time. The relaxing feeling and calmness that comes after the minutes go by is strangely satisfying. I prefer to lay it on my bed so there is a little more give, but my husband also uses it and prefers to lay it on the floor. I think the pillow is a must, it feels so good on the neck and back of the head. I wish the mat itself was made of different fabric that did not collect so much lint, which might be a problem if you have animals.

I wish I’d bought this years ago. I have struggled with back and neck pain since a car accident in 2006. I’ve tried tons of gadgets, most ended up collecting dust in my closet because they just didn’t work. I have found acupuncture to be effective, but it’s expensive and difficult to find the time in my schedule. I bought this after eying a much more expensive version for months. I figured, at this price, what do I have to lose? I was apprehensive about using it the first time because those little spikes are sharp! I was pleasantly surprised to find that it really didn’t “hurt”, it mostly felt like a sort of prickly heat at first, and then after a few minutes I just felt warm and relaxed. The best part is that, after just one use, a painful knot in my shoulder that I had medicated for a week was almost completely gone. I have used the neck pillow independently a few times, positioning it to hit spots where I’m having pain, and within hours of use, the pain is gone or significantly subsided. Unlike many other things I’ve purchased, I actually look forward to using this because the endophin-fueled relaxation is awesome. About the product itself- the construction and materials are fairly cheap. I could see how the cotton might stretch over time or the styrofoam inside the mat might break down. For the latter issue, there’s a velcro opening at the bottom where the mat could be removed and replaced. I do like the inclusion of a carrying bag, as I will definitely be taking this with me when I travel. Overall, for the price, I think the quality is as expected, and, frankly, I really don’t care because the product is so effective. I highly recommend it.

I got this instead of the $120 one I was getting advertised online. The spikes are very sharp and it hurts to lie on which helps to relax. I can't imagine how to expensive alternative could be any better because this does exactly as it should.

not bad, the pillow is better than the mat

I love my “bed of nails” so much I bought another one for a gift. This is such a stress reliever for me. It is great for headaches and sore muscles after jiu jitsu. Really it is the first thing I reach for when I am experiencing any kind of discomfort or pain. I really do look for any excuse just to use it.

Wish I knew about this sooner! As a massage therapist I LOVED using this on my clients. Everyone gave me a positive feedback and absolutely loved the sting and the pain and the health benefits of this mat. I use it until this day and lay on my stomach whenever I feel bloated. It is so relaxing !

item description says size 49.2 x 16.9 inch. But actually what i received was 24 x 16.9 inch. Absolute cheating, as I had two 24 inch mat already.

Cheap rubbish - wouldn’t recommend.

This is the best thing I've ever bought for my back pain, also good for relaxing sore muscles after a workout. I've suffered with muscle spasms and have 2 slipped disks in my spine, nothing has worked including medication and physiotherapy to ease the pain. 40 minutes of laying on this mat gives me so much relief, im honestly shocked at how well it works. Also let my mom use it when she had some pain in her back from sleeping wrong and it helped her as well. This is not pseudoscience and is science backed. Definitely give this a try and i hope it works just as well for you.
