"Putt Like the Pros
The reason I chose to purchase this product is because the TPM You Tube video makes reference to Dave Pelz philosophy behind a pendulum putting motion. I've read Dave Pelz book entitled, "Putt Like the Pros." I recall him stressing that a pendulum putting motion is the simplest, easiest, most repeatable and most reliable putting method. For this reason, I was sold on the product. I'm an avid golfer, but the area that has plagued me the most in my golf game is my putting. After having read Dave Pelz book, I adopted his method of a pendulum putting motion to my game. As a result, my putting improved significantly and it reflected on my scorecard. I've owned the TPM for one week. I live in the Midwest and I'm currently in the heart of the winter season, so there is really no way to tell if TPM is improving my putting stroke. Do I like the device? Yes, I believe that it is training me to understand what a true pendulum motion feels like. I've actually been practicing with TPM inside my home. I set up two alignment sticks parallel to one another leaving just enough room for me to create a putting stroke within the alignment sticks. Then, using my cell phone I record my putting stroke from behind at ground level, similar to the perspective you might see if you were watching a PGA event on TV. Finally, after having used TPM for a while, I pull the TPM off of my putter to see if I can replicate the same putting motion without it. This system is really helping me to see whether or not I'm aligned properly and whether I'm striking the ball in the sweet spot of the putter face. Again, I've only owned TPM for a week and I have to say I'm satisfied. I'm already eager to see the results on the golf course, but I'll have to wait for the winter to run its course.

Instantly felt the difference
When I finally tried it for the first time I was very relived to find that I IMMEDIATELY felt the difference between a true pendulum motion and whatever I had been doing before. It cured me from twisting my wrists which was a problem I didn't realize I even had. It still took a while to completely retrain myself, but any time I start to digress I just pull it out of my bag and pop it on my putter for a few moments and I'm cured again. Super easy to use, a no brainer. My putting is WAY more consistent. Also loved the training videos, great drills.

Didn't Feel Comfortable
The device works from a standpoint of using your shoulders to swing and not your arms and wrists. But I couldn't get in a comfortable position to make a normal swing. Felt like it was binding on me. Tried moving the point where it connects to club, but it didn't help. I'm 6'-4" and using a 38" putter, so not sure if that made a difference. I think the basic problem with why it felt like it was binding on me was that the device connects to the club at one point, but a person's grip has one hand above the other, thus the device is always going to seem out of balance. I think if each rod had it's own connection point on the club, and you could connect one lower for the lower hand and one higher for the higher hand, I would be able to deliver a more natural feeling swing and not one that made me feel twisted and bound up. Wished this would have worked as I need help keeping my arms and hands quiet when putting.

ARRIVED BROKEN
I don't appreciate having to return any item because it arrives broken but it's even worse to have to return an expensive product. Don't buy. Unless you need scrap metal.

This is okay for practicing without a ball
This is okay for practicing without a ball, but when trying to use it whilst hitting a ball its not great. It helps provide you the feel of how your body works but does not create a smooth stroke

Nice idea, still trying to figure out if it ...
Nice idea, still trying to figure out if it works for me? Allows very little movement except for the shoulders. That takes time to get used to.

It works!!
Update (6 months after purchase) It’s hard to ignore results. When I purchased the TPM 6 months ago I started using it before every round with some additional practice on off days. 6 months ago my handicap index was 7.6 Today my index is 3.3 What a difference! This training aid has helped me develop AND REPEAT a smooth pendulum putting stroke. Just knowing a technique isn’t enough, you need to develop muscle memory. The TPM does this very well. The smooth back and through motion with a square putter face has been such a huge improvement in that part of my game. I practice putting almost every day now. My main drill is “100”. I place a tee at 3,6,9,12 and 15 feet from the hole. I also place a tee 18 inches behind the hole. I putt 3 balls from each tee location. A made putt=10 points and a putt past the hole no more than 18 inches=5 points. No points for short putts. A successful outcome is 100 points or more. Perfect score is 150. My highest so far is 125. I do 2-3 rounds with the TPM and 2-3 without. I never finish unless I score at least 100 points. What a confidence builder!! I highly recommend this product. Price seems high for what it is. Price isn’t high for what it does when compared to an hour lesson with a PGA pro.

My putting was improved as a result of using the TPM. It is worth the price!!
I have known for quite awhile that I needed to use my shoulders in a Pendulum motion, but I couldn't get away from moving my hands. The TPM helped me tremendously. It gave me the feel for how I needed to move my shoulders. You may think the price is high. My wife said I should think about is at the price is a lesson. Considering it helped me implement what I was told through a lesson (personal or YouTube video), I must agree with her. Since I only have used the device for a few sessions, I still need to continue using it to get more consistent. I followed the recommended drills from the website, and feel those drills were effective. In conclusion, the product delivered what it promised.
