how do you install it?

You don't, really. See how the one bar is super long? So on the inside of your doorway, look up at the trim. You hammer a metal bracket that has a spiked section into the tiny space between the wall and the door trim - you wedge it in. Now, see how the other horizontal bar is much shorter? That section sits into the bracket, and the long bar is positioned on the opposite side of the doorway with the foam covered handles resting on the door trim. When you hang from it, those handles are pressing against the door frame. I'm not the best at describing this but trust me it works and was SUPER easy to "install".

My door frame is at least 7 inches wide, will this fit? I bought another one recently and my door frame was too wide for it

That must be a typo, no door frame outside of Lilliput is 7 inches wide. It works fine on 32 inch but just barely on a 36 inch.

My doorframe (including the molding inside the door frame which stops the door) is 23 inches wide. Would it still fit this doorframe?

Hi, the part that rests on the top of the door framing is 17 in wide. The bar is 36 in wide so you would need that much room on one side of the door or the other.

This was easy to assemble and not as large as some of the competitors. I bought a similar one that I had to return because it was too wide to fit on any of my doors due to my door frame being too close to a wall and not allowing enough room for how wide the bar was. I like this one better because it's not as wide & it is a lot lighter and easier for me to hang on door and remove. Even though it is lighter than the one I returned it is still very sturdy.

It's a great product. I saw many reviews of bar not fitting properly in north American houses. I live in BC, Canada and it fits perfectly. Just measure your door frame properly. It really depends on your door frame. Mine was not even 2 cm thick😅 but it still works well. Worth the money
