My niece's little boy who turned 5 years old last weekend was totally awed by this. For anyone who has a little one that is pirate-obsessed...this is a perfect gift!

Son Loved it!
We bought this for our son for Xmas. he loved it. It was one of the first things he wanted to open and play with after opening all his Xmas gifts. For any child who loves digging for treasures, going on a pirate hunt, capturing jewels...this is a fit. PROS: Son LOVED it. Great value for $$$. Easy to figure out and SUPER fun CONS: Messy of course. But thats what we sign up for. 5/5 and highly recommended

Great gift for my 5 year old nephew!
Appears to be well made and thought out. My nephew loved everything about this gift and has spent hours playing with it (and learning in the process). I would purchase again!

Fun excavation kit for kids
My daughter and son enjoyed digging into this cool looking octopus sitting on a treasure chest block. Inside were 12 different pieces of pirate booty to find. To keep the dusty mess down, I placed this plaster block into an aluminum baking pan. Once moistened, the digging into the block was easy. Overall a fun activity and this would make a great gift.

Fun for your little Matey!
This was pretty cool! We were all surprised at how big and heavy the chest was. We soaked it the recommended time and then my 6 year old dug in. The mallet broke almost immediately so we just used a regular hammer. It took quite awhile to chip around and find everything - over an hour. It was pretty messy- plaster chips and dust, but easy to vacuum up when done. Our key was broken but every other treasure item was pretty cool!

Grandson loved it!
My grandson loved this activity. Be sure to put down a tarp or something out on a sidewalk. It’s dried plaster and lots of plaster chips when digging for all the treasures. Kept him busy for a while.

One nephew loved it so much, his bother asked for one too
Got this as a gift for my nephews, (twice). The eldest loved it for Christmas and the youngest wanted one too. They stopped what they were doing to play with this, the second the package arrived. It’s a great gift for hours of imaginative play.
