Umasa Red Miso Paste 26.4oz

I found this product to be delicious. I used it to make a really good miso soup. Here is the recipe, if you're interested. Note: we like strong favors, so adjust yours to taste. I soaked about a half cup of wakami, then drained it. I boiled 8 cups of water and added two teaspoons of dashi powder ( see my other reviews for brand names) and a cup of this red miso paste to it. Then, I added a 15 ounce package of soft organic tofu, cubed and the seaweed. I added about 4 tablespoons of chopped scallions. The hubby said it was better than what we get in local restaurants. There were no issued with the delivery. Enjoy!

I bought this product from a store before and liked it. This time it came and it had exploded and spilled out of the plastic bag it came in and got on the other items that came from same box. I had to throw out the product so I can't say I enjoyed how the product was.

This is the second time I have purchased this Miso paste. I ordered a second time because we really liked it the first time. However, this time it came to me opened and spilled out in the box. So now I’m stuck with a $15 miso paste that I can’t eat. Amazon says the item is not refundable and I’m not sure how else to go about getting a response since this is not an Amazon fresh item. So simply beware that the seals on this item may not be adequate.

My first time using Miso paste. It has helped several dishes so far. I use it where I would use anchovies quite often. With this product I don't have to waste a bunch of anchovies that get left over. I'm still using it in different recipes but so far I like the flavor.

I always have some of this in my fridge! I buy it all the time.

I like the quantity but the test will be making the soup!

This miso paste tastes delicious, and there's tons in here. I use it for salad dressings, cooking veggies, and soups. The package arrived promptly.
