Very manageable for such a big saw
Great timber framing saw. Solid and stable. Much easier to handle than I remembered. Cuts through a 4x4 like butter. The worm drive motor doesn't jerk and twist the saw like some do. The thumb hold for the blade guard is a little small, but, workable. The 90 degree set screw needed adjustment and required "Thread Lock" to keep it in place. I love it.

Similar issues as others
The size is great, not too weighty. A bit pricey for the fact that the lower blade guard sticks. I am cutting knee braces 4x10 at 45 degrees. On the first cut I always had to lift the blade guard manually, it would stick, the a second point it would stick again. On the second smaller cut, also a 45, it would stick some of the time, until I got to the second point then it would always stick. I have not done any straight cutting with it but I’m guessing that it will stick on the second spot. I would not say that it is easy to use because of the sticking and having to lift the blade guard manually, it’s still 16 lbs and bulky and that is a safety issue. I am using a speed square as a guide but it would be nice to be able to use both hands to guide to saw. I looked very closely at the saw and noticed that when I get to point two, that the guard is rubbing against a circular part of the saw body. I’m going to try and file that portion of the blade guard slightly, when I run my hand along that portion of the guard it appears to have a small bulge that is catching on the saw body. The weird point thing on the lower guard seems to be why it won’t lift on the first 45 cut (not enough surface area). It does make a nice clean cut, with the blade that came with it but I noticed that it does have a tendency to wonder a little, could be that’s because I have to use one had to hold the guard. It’s still faster than having to roll 4x10x5’s. I noticed my spring was out of wack, called the company, they sent a new spring, but the problem still exists.

Big Saw for "professional" framers
Evidently in the time since the more critical reviews of this saw were written, the manufacturer has corrected the cosmetic flaws that existed with the earlier models. The fit and finish and resultant usability of this saw are as good as any available on the market today. This saw is heavier than the worm drive saws you might be used to. To use it one handed you need forearms like Popeye. That having been said, it is a wonderfully powerful saw, zipping through the hardest cuts you can throw at it. Knots in old wood and hidden nails do not even slow it down. You might get smoke and sparks, but that would be the only indication. No more having to roll 4x4 or 4x6 material to complete the cuts with your 7 1/4 inch saw, or finish the cut with a hand saw either. Big Foot does them in one pass. Another thing, and probably the most important in framing is that I can build a doubled rafter and cut it at 45 degrees or a lesser angle in one pass without having to follow up with the handsaw. If you are a builder you need this saw.

It’s a very good saw
It’s a beast of a saw A little intimidating at first, it’s like holding an upside down table, saw in your hand, but you soon get over that feeling and you realize what a magnificent beast this is. I cut many hemlock three by sixes with precision and little effort. A very good saw.

Blade/shoe out of square
Title: Poor Quality Control and Worse Customer Support I really wanted to like this saw, but it’s been nothing but a headache. Right out of the box, my Bigfoot 10.25” circular saw had alignment issues. I sent it back to Bigfoot for repair, and when it came back, the same problem persisted — clearly no quality control. After complaining again, they agreed to send me a replacement. The new saw made one good cut before the same alignment issue appeared on the second. When I reached out again, Bigfoot told me they couldn’t help anymore and to deal with Amazon (even though it was through the Bigfoot store). Now I’m out nearly $400 with a saw that doesn’t work and a company that’s washing its hands of the issue. Really disappointing. Thanks, Bigfoot.

Materiales resistentes y poder.
Excelente maquina!!

We melted down this saws motor in 2 months of use
The saw took blades that were hard to source and then we cooked the motor in our second month on the job with it.
