Absolute Lifesaver for Vegetable GardensโStops Caterpillars Cold Without Harming Bees
โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ Absolute Lifesaver for Vegetable GardensโStops Caterpillars Cold Without Harming Bees! If you are watching your hard work get chewed to pieces by worms, loopers, or hornworms, do not panic and reach for harsh chemical sprays. I bought this Southern Ag Thuricide BT after a massive wave of hornworms completely stripped my tomato plants overnight, and it completely turned the battle around. It is a highly effective, natural bacterial solution that strikes the perfect balance between aggressively target-killing pests and being completely safe for beneficial insects. Here is my honest breakdown after treating my backyard garden. The Pros The biological targeting is incredibly precise. The active ingredient, Bacillus thuringiensis, only targets the digestive systems of caterpillars and worms that actively eat your treated leaves, meaning it will not harm honeybees, ladybugs, birds, or earthworms. A little bit goes an incredibly long way. The liquid concentrate is highly potent, requiring only one to two tablespoons per gallon of water, which makes a single 16-ounce bottle last for multiple growing seasons. It leaves absolutely no chemical residue on your food. Because it is a natural, soil-borne bacterium, it breaks down quickly in sunlight, allowing you to safely spray your vegetables right up to the very day of harvest. It acts remarkably fast once ingested. The caterpillars stop eating almost immediately after swallowing a treated leaf, meaning your plants are safe from further chewing damage even while the pests take a couple of days to fully perish. The Cons / Things to Know It requires strategic timing for the best results. Because sunlight breaks down the active bacteria over time, you need to spray your plants in the late afternoon or early evening so the caterpillars can consume it in the dark before the morning sun weakens it. It must be eaten to work. It is not a contact killer, so simply spraying a caterpillar directly will not do anything. You have to ensure thorough coverage on both the tops and bottoms of the leaves so they ingest it when they take their next bite. Final Verdict This is a premium-grade organic pest control solution at an unbeatable price point. Whether you are dealing with hornworms on tomatoes, cabbage loopers on broccoli, or bagworms on ornamental shrubs, this stuff holds up beautifully. I will definitely keep a bottle on hand every spring!

Effective and easy to use
If you have geraniums or petunias this is a must have. I spray it on at least once a week to keep the bud worms from eating the flower buds before they get a chance to bloom. I have tried many different things for this problem and this is the only stuff that works. Maybe ther is something else out there that works but they dont allow shipping to California. It is natural and won't kill the bees.

Natural & Organic Control - Southern Ag Thuricide BT Caterpillar Control
I applied this to my lawn area and garden beds with my spray tank to help to reduce the Japanese Beetle attacks on my trees and plants this year. I'm also hoping that the BT bacteria in my garden beds and lawns helps to limit the number of eggs that these beetles' law in my lawn are killed when they develop into grubs. I like that this is a natural method of controlling beetles and grubs that don't use chemicals in my garden and lawn. It may not provide the quick kill that a chemical insecticide provides, but BT is safer for me and the environment.

Saved my petunias
I've got several large containers of petunias and petchoa and noticed the flowers had holes and seemingly overnight all the blooms were gone. As I looked closely, I noticed budworms, a small caterpillar. After several treatments late in the evening, I'm happy to say the budworms seem to be gone and the plants are beginning to flower again. Yay! Glad that this product was available on Amazon.

Bye bye caterpillars
Bought some syringes to inject my zucchini to prevent vine borer larvae from ravaging them. It absolutely worked. Note: do some research on which plants beneficial caterpillars like swallowtails, monarch, etc. feed on and donโt spray those. This bacteria does not distinguish between beneficial/beautiful and destructive bugs.
