Review: The darkest, moodiest, most intense narrative in storyline hands down. - Reminiscent of Elena Ferrante, giallo or Hitchcockian psychological thrillers, and classic pulp crime novels or film noirs of the golden era. If you started this series you don't want to miss Tohko and co.'s tragic, unbelievable origins and history, discovering how they shape this premise and have been energizing beneath the surface since the beginning. Revelatory and masterfully executed, providing essential context and insight into everything which has come before. Real penultimate page turner, can't wait to learn how this epic saga concludes...

Not as compelling as the previous 6 volumes
While I have up to now really enjoyed this series, after the events of Volume 6, I expected the protagonist to grow. Instead, he's returned to the same emotional state he was in before Volume 2, in order to forward the plot. It was sloppy writing and very annoying for me, an adult reader. I'll finish the series, but with would recommend only Volume 1-6 to someone else.

A solid entry in the series.
If you're following the series and enjoy it you'll like this book. It's got a lot of interesting twists and character development but it won't really make any sense unless you've read the other books first.

Fazit: Was soll man mehr dazu sagen?
