Dyna-Glo Heater is installed!
My husband bought this for our garage, as he uses it for a workshop. In one afternoon, he was able to follow the directions and install it correctly, having no issues thus far with it. It runs well, heats the space well, and the temperature control is easy work. He was very pleased to find this on Amazon, as the hardware stores were carrying it for quite a bit more money. It looks sleek and is very quiet while running, he's hoping it will hold up well to consistent use. Overall, a great value for the money. We'll know more after it runs all winter as to how much it costs to run, but my husband is optimistic that it will not be too expensive. Great heater thus far!

This heater exceeded my expectations in every way!
I purchased this heater to throw some heat into my basement during the colder times of the year. My basement stays the same temperature all year round for the most part at around 60-70 degrees but it's those 60 degree days I wanted to tame a bit. I hooked this heater into my natural gas line and the radiant infrared heat this heater puts out is impressive! It has 5 ceramic heating elements and can be adjusted to run either one, three or all five at one time. It has a controlled pilot flame with auto shutoff. I added the optional fan to improve circulation which it did do and the auto feature is very functional. I have a gas/C02 detector right above this unit and at full blast I get no alarms. Very impressive for a ventless heater as it sports a better than 99% efficiency rating. It is extremely well built and hanging it on the wall was a breeze as the bracket is well designed and provides a solid hanging base. For the money this heater is a steal and I highly recommend it!

Update. After two years it failed.
Update: The ignition switch broke and I could no longer turn the gas on. Buying a new one. Disappointing. 2022. Surprising powerful. It’s actually outside on my enclosed deck. It made the 20 degree night bearable. My 15x13 tarp and polycarbonate sheet enclosed deck was able to go from 20 to 50 degrees without any additional heat other than this 30000 btu unit. I then cranked on my propane fire pit and some hanging Heatstrip brand heaters to add another 25 to 30 degrees. After an hour it was a toasty 75 to 80 degrees with snow and high winds all around. The heat from this unit goes up more than I expected. Especially with the additional fan added. But it does heat up as designed. Items within 5 feet in front were at 125 degrees. Those items about 10 feet away were around 80 degrees. It is slow to warm the surrounding items. It took about 45 minutes to fully warm the deck up the 30 degrees I mentioned. It does not smell like gas at all and made no noise other than the fan. And the fan is not loud. I could easily hear my tv that was only 7 feet away. It blows air. Not a ton. But it does move air. It’s bigger and thicker than I wanted, but it does the job nicely. And cheap for 30 k btu. I will remove it in the spring. But for now, I like it. It worked as planned.

Very effective heaters, easy to use, reliable.
Third one I've bought, these are awesome heaters, I have two in my insulated 900sqft garage, but I can easily keep it comfortable with just one of them. With two, I can heat the garage from the 30s up to 70 extremely quickly, then just shut one down and maintain temp with the other.

Reliable but needed ajustment
The heater works well and puts out a lot of heat. However I had to take it apart and adjust the thermocouple before it would stay lit. It was in the wrong position from the factory. I do highly recommend the optional fan upgrade. This heater does work to heat half my house when the power is off. I recommend it for a main or a backup source of heat.

Worst 30000 BTU heater ever!
The heater stopped working in only 10 months. The flame doesn't reach far enough to ignite the heater! Bought the heater on January 2, 2025. Customer service for Dyno Glo is terrible! The heater is still under warranty, yet they are acting as if we did something to it. It was just working for us last week. They requested proof of purchase. We sent that to them. They stated they will send a replacement part. The thing is, we will be responsible for paying for the part to be removed and replaced. Then they asked if a professional had installed the heater. We stated yes. Now they want proof that we hired a professional to install the heater. What H*ll! Who keeps paper receipts of an install that long for a product that should still be working!

Bought this 30,000 BTU Dyna-Glo infrared heater for our gazebo evenings—fast, sun-like warmth without needing electricity. Added legs and a plug-in fan for even better heat coverage. The infrared heat feels like sitting in the sun—warming people and objects directly instead of just the air. I purchased the optional base legs (WBL100) to make it free-standing and added the Dyna-Glo vent-free wall heat fan (WHF100), which quietly pushes the warmth further and helps direct it exactly where we need it. The fan does require a standard power outlet, but it’s worth it for the improved heat distribution. The LOW-MED-HI control knob gives us flexible heat settings, and since the heater itself doesn’t require electricity, it’s a great backup heat source during outages. Setup was simple: attach the legs, connect to the gas line, and place it where heat coverage is best. Infrared vs. Blue Flame: Infrared (this model): Best for spot heating; warms you quickly even if the air is cool. Works well in drafty or open spaces, such as a gazebo. Blue Flame: Heats the air in the room; better for evenly warming fully enclosed spaces, but can take longer to reach the desired temperature. Pros: Quick, targeted warmth that feels natural The heater runs without electricity. Quiet operation with optional fan. Adjustable heat settings. Optional base legs make it portable. Cons: The fan requires a power outlet. Heat is strongest in direct line of sight—objects or walls can block it. Blue flame style may be better for fully enclosed rooms. We’ve found this infrared model perfect for our semi-open gazebo space—it keeps us warm, extends our evenings outside, and has been completely reliable.

Item arrived the following day as I am a prime member. I have yet to install it as we are travelling abroad at the moment, however, my good friend has one installed and it works like a charm in his garage. He also to error on the side of safety as Leo installed a carbon monoxide device. He also hung a small fan higher to the garage ceiling in order to circulate the warm air which obviously will rise. For a garage I will say it is safe as if you look from inside your garage, it is not totally sealed allowing air to enter. Having said do it keeps the garage super warm.

Starts good, and works good, for a while. Then it shuts down and can't be relit till the next day...nor can it be turned down, as it shuts off within a few mins, then can't be relit. Not sure what's going on with it, but the way it is. Works to take the chill off in my garage, but if it wasn't insulated, or if I needed constant heat, I would certainly look for something different.
