Description says NEW. Sticker on pump says REMANUFACTURED.
Description says it is a new Motorcraft pump. Label on the pump says RMANUFACTURED. I put it on anyway because I had the old pump removed already.(Bad on me.) It was noisier than the pump I took off! I got a remanufactured pump from Autozone for less than half the Motorcraft pump price and it purrs. I am getting pretty good at replacing Ranger power steering pumps.

Fit my 2002 Ford Ranger, 3.0 liter v6
I was looking for a new power steering pump, not very available. The Motorcraft reman seemed the best bet. The pump came with a new reservoir and cap. Also the high pressure hose came with a new o-ring. A bolt, rounded nut and washer are included for installing the pulley, I used an installation tool instead. Hopefully this one will last 151,000 miles like the orginal, it seems like OEM quality.

Works okay, still some squeal
Installed on '98 Ranger XLT 3.0L V6. No squeal when wheel is straight or slightly turned, but moans some when making hard turns. It's still an improvement over the original, which screamed like a banshee once the power steering fluid got up to temperature.

The pump is a bit noisy during normal driving.

Junk
Bought this pump thinking Motorcraft would be better choice but it whines worse than the pump I took off the truck!! Now happy about doing the job twice but don't really have a choice now as pump whines so loud it's embarrassing to drive

Literally garbage.
Bought a reman Motorcraft pump thinking it would be better than the junk you get at the auto parts store, boy was I wrong. It makes more noise than the old crap one I took off my truck. Not happy about doing the job twice. The quality is trash and I do not recommend this pump.
