Does not leave an unpleasant taste
I purchased this to blend in my oatmeal or other food items. I already have chocolate flavored protein powder. I used a whole scoop but it made my oatmeal a little chalky. Next time I’ll use half. Didn’t leave an unpleasant taste. Happy I purchased it.

Best Protein Powder Ever!
This is the best protein powder I have ever used. Not only does it taste great, but it blends well with water or milk (I'm using unsweetened almond milk). You can add anything to it and it still tastes great!(So far I've blended it with spinach & banana & both were great.) It fills me up & I'm not hungry again for hours. I really like that is powder is not sweet. I sweeten it with Stevia when I want it a bit sweeter but it tastes great on its own. It is Non GMO and that is another big plus! Also it is only 130 calories/scoop & you only need 1 scoop per 8oz of liquid. I actually add 12oz of liquid total as I find it to thick with just 8oz but I have friends who just use 8oz & they love the consistency. . Give it a try. I bet you'll love it too!

A great alternative to dairy-based protein powders
Whey protein isolate is still king in terms of the complete BCAA profile and fast absorption rate, but for those looking to start experimenting with the amount of dairy products in your diet, I would recommend this as a great starting point. I'm not sure if pea protein is considered to be a complete protein or not, but so far it's the closest veggie-based protein I've had to the all-natural ON whey protein isolate I love so much. The taste (i had vanilla) is just fine and very comparable to vanilla whey, it mixes fairly well (way better than hemp protein, but still not as easily as whey even without all the instantizing additives), and you get about the same amount of protein per serving as whey (hemp is lower... and also just a horrible taste/texture in my opinion). The only downside to this pea protein is that it still never seems to mix in as smoothly as good ole whey. I've used it in a blender, with a hand-held battery-powered drink mixer, a milk frother, and just with a spoon, and no matter how thoroughly you mix it, there's still a very fine grain/sandy texture to it. Much less so then hemp, but not as smooth as whey. It's not really a big deal, and I'm already getting used to it. Give it a shot!

Delicioso!
This stuff tastes great! Filled me up, which I'm actually not looking for - I use this to supplement natural foods and whey protein isolate - but didn't cause any GI problems at all. I didn't think it was mealy in the slightest, in fact it's a very fine powder that could be easily added in anything. I mixed mine in almond milk, but will be trying water next as this powder really thickens up quite a bit. My friend tried some and only used a little bit of water, he said it was like drinking Cream of Wheat. Personally, I am not fond of too-sweet drinks, and this protein supplement is tolerable for me. So far, I would definitely buy again!

Healthy, but not too tasty
I tried this pea protein powder because due to health considerations I had to stop using whey, egg, or soy protein powders. Though this product did taste appreciably better than a brown rice protein powder I had tried, it is clear to see why whey protein is so popular...the taste! Because I cannot have dairy products, sugar, or fruit the best recipe I could come up with to make a protein shake with this product was a combination of the powder, water, ice cubes, stevia, cocoa powder, and a little coconut milk. The flavor was fine, but the aftertaste was extremely chalky. To be fair, the egg protein and soy proteins weren't much better under such limitations. My sister (who can mix her pea protein with fruit) says it works for her with very little chalkiness. So it is a good alternative for vegans, I suppose. I will finish the canisters I purchased, but will try something else next time...maybe hemp, haven't given that a try yet.

Company changed the product
Hello, I just received a shipment of the "new and improved" Olympian Labs pea protein in vanilla flavor, that I bought through Amazon.com. As soon as I opened the product and mixed for a drink I noticed a big difference from the protein I used to buy before. I am hugely disappointed in this new product. I have been using the pea protein for a year now, and I was happy I found a product that tastes good, agrees with me and it's affordable. I realized that not only the packaging that has changed, but the taste and ingredients changed too. Not sweet enough, the measuring spoon is bigger( I assume, because all the silicon dioxide that was added to the protein) and the silicon dioxide makes it taste weird and leaves an unpleasant feeling in my mouth. Not to mention that I really have to be careful when pouring, because it gets all over the counter and the air. Silicon dioxide is not a good thing to breath in as everyone knows. I'm sorry that the product had to be changed, I will have to look for another protein powder, because I will have to return this item to Amazon. Sincerely, Erika S.

Great dairy free option
My husband has a dairy allergy so trying to find a dairy free protein powder was challenging. This one is great! We even tried using a different one we got locally when I made a mistake and skipped this for one month of our subscribe and save and the powder we got locally was terrible so we made a special order just for this. Highly recommend! It’s filling but it doesn’t sit in your stomach like a ton of bricks. I also have digestive issues with a lot of protein powders and I don’t for this one.

Have been using this product for years. Nice flavour and creamy consistency. Mixes well and easy to digest.
