This bag works quite well, as long as you have the right vacuum for it! I have purchased and used this exact product twice so far, because I end up puncturing it every time I use it (more on this later). The first time I used it, I tried using my regular household vacuum cleaner (Miele canister vac). It worked a little bit, but the vacuum quickly overheated and shut off. Most household vacuums aren't meant to operate at maximum suction without a lot of air flowing through them (because they rely on the incoming air to cool the motor). The second time I used this bag, I used a large shop-vac (Rigid brand vacuum). This worked a LOT better and didn't suffer any overheating issues. If you want an even better vacuum, I have some more info later on. For most people, using a standard shop-vac will do the job nicely. Once you have pulled the vacuum, fold the mattress over and strap it up. Having a second person to help here is very useful -- one person sitting on the mattress to keep it folded while another person straps it worked very well. I used the included straps to hold it in half, then used some ratcheting straps to tighten it up even further. Note that if you use ratchet straps, put a piece of cardboard or something like that between the metal ratchet body and the plastic bag to keep from puncturing the plastic. The attached image is of a Purple 3 mattress under full compression. I think the compression is just as good as the factory does, but I didn't have enough leverage to actually "roll" up the mattress and could only fold it in half. Its still plenty small enough to fit in the back of a normal station wagon/hatch/SUV. Once your mattress is vacuumed and folded, you really should add some extra protection. You can wrap the mattress in mover's plastic wrap, or find some other heavy duty plastic/tarp to wrap this in. The vacuum bag punctures VERY easily. This happened BOTH times I tried moving with this. It's not the end of the world, as long as your straps are tight -- the straps will keep the mattress MOSTLY contained even if the vacuum is lost, but it will be a LOT more difficult to move around without the vacuum intact. Note that I punctured this even though I was trying to be very careful. I was moving my mattress with a helper down a short walkway between my door and the car. The mattress was very heavy, so we stopped once to put the mattress down and take a quick break. The bag touched a grain of sand on my walkway (yes, just a grain of sand), and this caused a minute puncture. It was enough that I could hear it leaking, but I couldn't stop the leak with duct tape or anything like that because of all the creases in the plastic. Within 2 hrs, the mattress bag vacuum was completely lost. So if you want the ultimate vacuum, I had good results using a four-stage diaphragm pump with a shop-vac as a roughing vacuum. Most people won't have access to this equipment, and probably won't need this level of vacuum to be honest. My shop-vac took the vacuum down to about 650 torr. I was able to attach a diaphragm pump using an NW25 fitting. If you remove and use just the O ring from an NW25 centering ring, it will fit over the inlet port nicely and creates a good seal once a vacuum is established (see photo for more info). I took it down to 40 torr and said "good enough" there. The majority of the compression had already happened with the shop-vac -- the difference between 650 and 40 torr was noticeable, but not enormous.

I bought this last year 2025. I used it on my casper memory foam bed, it was in storage for 1 year 2 months!!!!! This thing held on, not even sure how but it held up,it worked perfectly! I did save space. It kept my bed clean and dust free. Easy to use, perfect fit. The straps help a lot. Highly recommend. Just make sure you follow the instructions and you'll be good. As for water resistance? If air didnt go back in, much less water. My bed had no mold from moisture. Just make sure your bed is dry before you seal it, incase you spilled liquid on it. Stability? On point! I used a shop vacuum.

I was moving out of my house back in with family so I needed a quick solution that would fit inside my small sedan. This did the trick! There are some small caveats though. As someone else mentioned, this thing has the durability of a soap bubble. For a quick move from house to house, it works fine, but don’t expect to get a ton of repeated use out of it unless you box it up and wrap it with plastic wrap. I only used it twice before it already developed a small leak. Mind you, I did not wrap it with plastic wrap or box it either. If you’re using ratchet straps, definitely put some cardboard between the plastic and the ratchet or you’ll puncture the bag. I didn't use any ratchet straps myself, only the included ones which are okay. Also, use a shop vac instead of a regular household vacuum. I used a Ridgid 5HP shopvac and it got the job done in about 10–15 minutes. A normal vacuum just doesn’t have enough power and will overheat pretty fast. For $24 dollars, this is a good buy versus having to buy a U-Haul truck. 6/10 would buy again if the plastic was a bit tougher.

It’s like trying to move a mattress wrapped in a single layer of wet phyllo dough. It has the puncture resistance of a high-end 1-ply toilet paper in a rainstorm. If you look at it with a stern expression, it might spontaneously develop a leak. Exhibit A: I was moving the mattress down a walkway and paused for a break. The bag touched a single grain of sand. Just one. That lone, microscopic pebble pierced the plastic like a needle through a balloon. I could hear the "hiss" of my hard work escaping, and because of the creases in the bag, duct tape was useless. Within two hours, the vacuum was a memory. Pro Tip: Once you’ve vacuumed it down, wrap the whole thing in heavy-duty mover’s wrap or a tarp. You need to protect this bag from the terrifying dangers of... existing. Folding & Strapping The image attached shows a Purple 3 mattress under full compression. It compresses beautifully, though I could only fold it in half rather than rolling it. Even then, it fit easily into a standard SUV. Get a Buddy: One person needs to sit on the mattress like they’re wrestling a giant marshmallow while the other handles the straps. The Ratchet Rule: If you use ratchet straps, put cardboard between the metal buckle and the bag. If the metal even breathes on the plastic, you’re doomed. Final Verdict If you treat this bag like it’s made of spun sugar and hope, it’s a lifesaver. It gets the job done, but just remember: in a fight between this bag and a stray cat hair, the hair is going to win every time. Prepare for the "sand grain" betrayal and wrap it in extra protection!

I honestly couldn't believe a product like this existed. I needed to compress a king-size mattress, and this made the whole process surprisingly easy. Even more impressive, it was delivered within two hours. Insane customer service and delivery! Before using it, I read through the reviews and took the warnings seriously. I made sure to keep anything sharp away from the bag and handled it with extreme care because I didn't want to puncture the cover or cause a vacuum leak. I was also concerned that my vacuum might not be powerful enough, but I used a DeWalt DCV581H and it worked perfectly. The process itself was very straightforward, and I managed to compress the entire king mattress by myself. That said, I would highly recommend having someone help you, especially with a king-size mattress. Doing it alone is definitely possible, but an extra set of hands would make it much easier. Overall, I'm extremely impressed. It worked exactly as advertised, was easy to use, and made moving a king-size mattress significantly more manageable. I would absolutely recommend it.

I was hesitant to try this vacuum bag but I'm so glad I did. We recently moved a newer Casper memory foam queen mattress from UO to Los Angeles along with our all our kiddo's other stuff (clothes, keyboard, guitar, amp) in the back of a Nissan Ariya. This worked perfectly! Pro tip: borrow or rent a shop vacuum (we rented on for $20 from Home Depot). A shop vac is way more powerful than a standard vacuum cleaner & 2 of us were able to compress & wrap our mattress in about 10 minutes or less. It also helps if one person sits on rolled mattress while the other person attaches the included straps. As a precaution we wrapped the mattress with our mattress protector for the journey as somw reviewers mentioned the plastic is easily punctured but we had zero problems. Highly recommend & would use again!

These vacuum storage bags work really well. They made moving my mattress much easier. The only downside is that they’re a little expensive.

I'd say 2.5 stars if I could. It works pretty good while you're shrinking stuff down. Your results will vary depending on your vacuum. A shop vac will work better and faster than a stick vacuum. I've used these at least 4 or 5 times for moves and they're great for that. I've never had one be able to hold a seal for longer than a day or so. I've redone the seals multiple, multiple times and they still expand over time, and the straps are made of cheap plastic and are completely useless. If you're looking to shrink something for a move, this works. If you're looking for a longer term storage solution look elsewhere or be prepared to reinforce the shrunken item somehow to prevent it from expanding over time

Attenzione alle misure. Io ho acquistato la XL ma per il mio materasso matrimoniale era veramente piccolo. Poiché avevo urgenza di trasportarlo, ho arrotolato il materasso e messo nel sacco applicando il sottovuoto. Devo dire che ha affrontato un viaggio di 5 h e successivamente è rimasto nel sacco per altri 5giorni senza gonfiarsi. Il prodotto è ottimo ma le misure sono piccole.

This was a hope and a prayer purchase because we were moving a long distance with our memory foam in weather, and we hit all the weather rain, snow, everything in that trip. This mattress cover worked GREAT for that move, Everything was dry and easy to transport. It worked so well we used it to bring our bed camping in a later trips and it is still holding strong, no leaks causing reinflation during transport and I forsee us using it many more times because the bag is showing no signs of breakdown as of yet. Now we did read the instructions and we did wrap the outside of the rolled up mattress during transport as it recommended. I have a queen memory foam but I purchased a king bag for ease of use and it works well even for an undersized mattress, I didn't need to buy the size up as the sizing looks to work just fine for the size intended, but I'm happy I did buy the size up it just makes it easier for us. A regular vacuum works just fine no shop vacuum required. The valve is awesome if you pull the vacuum off during deflation at anytime it doesn't allow reinflation. I did end up using the first bag I bought ( queen size) to vacuum seal our giant bear(Costco giant teddy bear) for the same move it worked so well. For us it was a one-person job putting the bag on the mattress and even vacuum sealing it down, rolling it up and putting the straps on to hold the roll was a two-person job. And in sock feet as per instructions walking slowly on the bag did help deflate it more than the vacuum could as it was getting vacuumed down. It didn't cause any damage to the bag walking on it, a note we didn't start stepping on it until the vacuum had the mattress almost all the way deflated. I absolutely recommend and have recommended to friends, I mean who couldn't use a giant vacuum seal bag LOL

Bought a bigger size since my mattress is 160 cm wide but thin. Could probably have gone with the smaller size as well. Worked really well so far. Hope I won't experience any air leaks.
