Tank Buddy: '80s Edition
Me: *Literally nothing* Amazon Algorithm: “Transformers G1 Warpath Reissue: $15” Also me: *Deep breath* Thus, since the modern mould I own as Treads in the Go-Bot pack was so...unfavourable where alignment, and transformation was concerned, I decided to give them a go. = Robot Mode = Yay: + Literally a straight reissue of the original, never-experienced '80s figure. + I was rather surprised by how much of a recognisable robot they were. + The turret can push back to make the head more aligned to the back. + Charmingly-janky to me. + Rather solid foundation. + The wheel is still somewhat-usable if you lift the back of the feet off the ground. + They feel much more substantial in-hand than expected. Meh: ~ I wish more stickers were present, as I didn't even notice one nearly-invisible one until looking at them in robot mode at an extreme angle. ~ Said sticker was also applied crookedly. ~ Incredibly-limited articulation, but then, this is literally engineering from 4 decades ago, so I can pardon it not being up to modern standards. Nay: - Nothing to me; I like them for what they are. = Accessories = Nothing, as the hands don't even have holes in them. = Transformation = Robot to Vehicle: As smooth and satisfying as can be, nothing at any point hitched in any form, or fashion for me, and the whole process was personally-deemed “very satisfying”. Vehicle to Robot: Not as smooth, given the amount of force that needs to be applied in order to separate the back from its tank configuration, but outside of that, no issues. = Alt Mode = Yay: + Tiny tank! Tiny tannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnk! :D + ...with wheels, too; Warpath R o l l s. + I love how the faction insignia temperature-reactive sticker is front and centre. + Quite solid, it. + Once again, fun to hold to me. + The turret can go a full 360 for enhanced aiming action. + I also quite enjoyed how the crew hatch became the head... + ...and that you can flip it up in vehicle mode to have it peeking out. Meh: ~ I wish it rolled better, but then, this is a minor complaint. ~ As well, more stickers would have been appreciated. Nay: - Much like the robot mode, nothing to me. = Verdict = When viewed through the lens of modern standards, this is objectively more limited, and barely able to be interacted with. Subjectively, I very much enjoy them more than Treads, as a result of their simplicity leaving almost no room for anything to go amiss. Thus, I am very glad I picked them up, as having a piece of the franchise's origins, and getting to experience the very beginning of the figures for the first time ever was deemed a very-favourable experience, to the point I more-than-kind-of want more G1 figures now.

Poor packaging ships in a bag
Item was shipped in a bag not a box. The toy is OK but the package was crushed. It's disappointing because this was to be a gift to a collector.

I wanted to keep these in/on the card to display however about removing from the box the figures just fell out. Very disappointed especially with the warpath figures as there was little to no glue holding the packet together. Due to that I am now unsure if they are official or a knock off.
