These are working great for the oven and our grill. It is nice to have a secondary way to confirm the temperature. Face is large enough to easily read the temperature. Seems to be well made.

I have been wanting oven thermometers for my double oven for a while and finally decided to purchase these. Initial impression was that they were decent quality BUT a bit small for my 57 yr old eyes to read without my reading glasses on. I decided to hang them and give them a try. So, after 6-8 uses in both ovens, using temps never over 425, I started to notice that I was having problems seeing the dials. Upon closer inspection, I discovered it was because the writing and colors were starting to fade! This was annoying but I was in the middle of making cookies so I left them hanging and put my trays in the ovens. It was then that I noticed that the upper oven was cooking much faster than the lower oven, even though both were set at the same temp. After that batch was finished, I decided to check the thermometers' readings side-by-side in each oven. This is when I discovered that they were not working properly; oven set to 400 degrees and one thermometer read 350 and the other read 475! Even if my oven is running hot, both thermometers should at least be reading the same temp. So, bottom line is that 1) the numbers and colors are disappearing, and 2) they are not reading the temp in my oven consistently which leaves me wondering which one is correct, or maybe they are both wrong! Returned both as defective.
