Good value, works well as a Lungo – more intense as Espresso
I use a CHULUX machine that's compatible with Nespresso Original pods, and I’ve been looking for a more affordable alternative to the official Nespresso Lungo capsules. I found these and decided to give them a try. Unfortunately, I was disappointed when brewing them as a Lungo. The taste was weak and watery—more like a diluted Keurig coffee than a true Nespresso experience. While the caffeine content is definitely there, the flavor just didn’t hold up in a longer brew. However, when I used the same pod to make a standard Espresso shot, the result was excellent. Full-bodied, smooth, and exactly what I was hoping for. I now brew it as an Espresso and simply add hot water if I want a longer drink. That workaround works perfectly. The price is great, which makes this a good budget option overall. My only other issue is that you have to buy a large quantity—50 pods at once—which is a bit much if you're unsure about the taste. Bottom line: Not suitable as a Lungo, but makes a solid Espresso. Worth it for the price, so I’m giving it 4 stars. Half a year later, I revise my opinion. It is a great Lungo, if you just allow the taste to be what it is. Distinct bitterness without the heaviness. By now, I really enjoy the experience. The plastic container and the thin filter are not an issue, they don't break, and they don't affect the taste. So I will give it the fifth star.

Excellent!
These are great for my daily Lungo. Full delicious flavor! Moved from original Nespresso pods because these taste just as great if not better, and at a fraction of the price! Go Amazon!

Go for the stronger variety for nespresso pods
Decent. Especially if you're trying to save money. It'll do the job. Four stars because I got the Lungo variety (Nespresso compatible) and it tastes a little weak. Definitely recommend you get the stronger flavor variety. Was compatible with my Pixie machine, but flow as vigorously as branded pods. Caffeine is good. It's not going to make you shake like a french press, but none of the Nespresso pods do. One big con is that the pods are made of plastic. And there's no info on whether the plastic type used is recyclable. I'd be happy to open and clean out the pods to recycle them, so would love to have info about that.

I didn't think a Nespresso capsule could brew such terrible, leaky coffee. I was wrong.
It truly mystifies me how these coffee pods are rated so highly. I purchased them because of the high reviews, the many thousands of high reviews, and it has broken my faith in the Amazon review system because I'm soooo incredibly disappointed with them. This review is for the 50-count box of Lungo capsules. First, while they are Nespresso capsule sized capsules, they are barely compatible. Meaning, they FIT, yes, but they give a really bad experience. They lack whatever is necessary to seal the capsule when it's locked into the brewing chamber. After just ONE brew, there is A LOT of water down below the catch-bin of empty capsules. That means that a lot of water is going around the capsule during brewing. I NEVER get this much water, not nearly this much if any at all, with other non-Nespresso capsules. I mean, just look at the capsules and you will see how basic they are and how they're definitely made to a price point, not for appropriately equivalent compatibility. Other 3rd party Nespresso capsule vendors have figured out how NOT to get some much leaked water. Figure it out. Another bummer about these capsules is that they brew SO slowly. ONLY with these capsules does the water just trickle out of the spout into the cup. So it takes FOREVER to brew a cup of Lungo-sized coffee with its trickle trickle trickle. Again, NOT an issue with my coffee machine -- it works fine with every other capsule but these. The other major bummer about these capsules is the taste. Put a bunch of dirt and leaves in your gutters, spray some water up there, capture the water after it flows through the dirt and leaves, warm it up, and you kind of get what these Lungo capsules produce. It's noticeably not great coffee, and I'm not a coffee snob. I like all sorts of 3rd party compatible Nespresso Lungo capsules, from Peet's to Iily to Lavazza and Starbucks, all the way to the basic store-brand stuff I can find at my local grocery store. At a minimum those all produce passable coffee. These are way below that. And I make a latte every morning, so the coffee's awful taste is masked by both sweetener and milk, yet still it shines through as murky and weird. Yes, these are inexpensive. But they're also cheap, both in taste and in physical quality. Steer clear, folks.

For the price I paid, okay. But I don’t think I would purchase again at the typical price.
I purchased these because they were at a good price and thought I’d give them a try considering other brands can be considerably more expensive. As I’ve noticed sometimes with Amazon, when you happen to purchase at a very good price, the item is inexplicably either lost or damaged during the delivery process. When you go to try to replace the price has increased considerably. The only way to deal with this is actually to call Amazon, which we all know is quite a process since they generally hide their customer service phone number. Customer service replace this and honored the original price. As to the quality I would say just generally fair. The coffee quality is again, just generally fair and the pod itself rather being aluminum as in a typical Nespresso pod, is plastic film. It still seems to work as far as brewing just a bit more delicate.

Creamy full bodied regular size for Nespresso machine.
I’ve been ordering these for about two years now and keep coming back. The flavor is rich and full-bodied, very similar to the more expensive Nespresso pods. It brews a smooth, creamy cup in the “ regular size pods and never tastes watery or burnt. For the price, these are a great everyday option and work perfectly in my Nespresso machine. Definitely a solid staple if you like a stronger coffee without paying premium prices.

Good value for your money
Purchased as an alternative to the Nespresso level 5 espresso roast that we found in Italy. This was very similar! It is smooth and flavorful. As with professional espresso shots it is important you use the shot immediately or add a splash of milk, sugar or syrup to stop the oxidation of the coffee. If I don’t do that I’ve noticed that it becomes more bitter/acidic tasting the longer it sits.
